I worked with Gerald Weigert at Vector after the whole Indonesian fiasco in the early 2000s. I got to see all the models gathered in the show room, i got to drive a black W3. We actually had a new full scale model for the new generation in the shop. It was powered by a vipers V10 and it still retained the wedge shape although it was much more round than any other Vector. Beautifull car. I once sat infront of it and drew a time attack version of it and Mr. Weigert confiscated my drawing and locked it away stating that the design couldnt leave the premises. We shot a video of the car. I got to drive it around the neighborhood once. Fun times.

The 0-60 and Top Speed for the Vector W8 were mainly manufacturer claims, unfortunately. AFAIK, no actually test drive achieved them. That said, I think the Vector W8 could be a real monster with just one upgrade: Replace the TH350 transmission with a heavy-duty, race-prepped TH400.

I can agree with that. And i found it a bit overwhelming sitting int the cockpit because that was no ordinary driver seat. The whole interior design was a bit over the top if you ask me. The W12 he had in the shop really worked out all the kinks of the previous models and as much as i hated that it borrowed from other cars such as the viper V10 and supra headlights it truely was a beautiful car. It saddens me that the world missed out on that particular car. There has never been an american supercar. Such as that one. It was up there with the Hennessey Venom.

@@JohnSchoolingJr Yeah, but the W12 was basically just a rebadged Diablo, so not even a real Vector, or American, at that point.

@@Blackferret66 yeah Gerald got pushed out of Vector by those Indonesians after he put Vector in the stock market. Since they owned Lamborghini they went ahead and destroyed what Vector was.

The W8 was claimed to have a top speed of 218mph, other sources have put it at 242mph.

Still an interesting video with the list of cars. AI is getting very advanced, yes, but the giveaway for me was when it talked about the "5-12" engine from Lamborghini. I should've said V-12, but it interpreted the "V" as a roman numeral "five" rather than pronouncing it as the letter "V".

Vector W8 is just like Lamborghini Countach or Lotus Esprit

The Vector W8 IS NOT just like the countach or espirit. First off, the W8 had a twin turbo chevy v8 in it, the M12 had the lambo engine from the diablo. As for the Espirit, there were turbo 4 cars and v8 cars, neither of them are even close to the Vector W8. The W8 is a uber rare find these days and has nothing in common with those other vehicles.
