Bitterroot 9ker number 20 for me! Our first real smoke of the season (on September 3rd!) finally settled into the area. We had initially looked at running up Big Creek trail to bag Ranger Peak, but a new fire near the lake closed the trail further up. So we opted for South Heavenly Twin instead! The creek drainage we went up surprisingly still had running water in it, making for some dangerously slippery rock. But a great outing nonetheless!
