@@rikbennett9 thank Rover cars. My P5 coupe had torque rod front suspension anchored to the front subframe that held the engine ,box and steering. Your application is a neat idea and I’m sure I’ll be using it sub baseboard on my ( in shed)station area.

That's very kind of you. I am not as skilled as many modellers but somehow I muddle my way through. My stuff looks ok, as long as you don't get too close to it .... 😏

Thanks James. That's certainly my intention. I think the volume of traffic on it far exceeds anything which might have occurred on a real railway, but it makes life interesting.

Have you tried TinkerCAD? I tried sketchup but struggled with getting the shapes to be printable. They looked ok on screen but when I tried printing them I was told they weren't "manifold". So far, I've not drawn a shape in TinkerCAD which can't be printed. It's not as sophisticated as the other packages ..... but then, neither am I 😏

Hi Michael. No, the GVT line will be quite separate. I'm exploring 0-16.5 and it will be mainly inside the workshop (so I can run something when the weather is bad). Once it's done, I might rescale the drawings to 16mm scale

Hi Michael. The only locos which I have made to my own design so far have been a couple of diesels. One was my idea of what a three foot gauge Fowler loco might have looked like and the other was based on the LGB Toytrain diesel loco. All the others have either been based on real locos or built from kits. My scratchbuilds are never exact replicas of real locos, they are loosely based on them. Not thought of creating my own design of contractors loco (yet!😏)

The filament printer shown near the end is a cheap Anet A8 (£80GBP) clone. The resin printer is an AnyCubic Photon Mono.

Hi Michael. No plans at the moment. If I did build an articulated loco, it would probably be a Garratt - I'm not sure if there were any 3' gauge double Fairlies (though I might be wrong as I think there was a standard gauge version). I do like the Londonderry and Lough Swilly tender locos, but they are a bit too large for the PLR. I've not found a short 3' tender loco - yet 🤔

PS Just discovered that Avonside produced 3' gauge double Fairlies for lines in Canada - so, who knows what the future may bring .....😁
