Honestly it was the advice I needed too. I also primarily use the Greatsword and don’t like shields, so I don’t usually block in Elden Ring. But Greatsword has decent guard boost and damage negation so I did it for the fight and beat him within a few tries. Gonna start using guard more now 😂

Bijou needs to change her moonveil ktaana to moonlight greatsword for being able to defend against some attacks in second phase.

Radahn's second phase is mostly endurance combos, so she did absolutely great job by doing that without sacrificing good dps as welll

Weapons in Elden Ring have a little higher guard boost compared to their Dark Souls or Ds3 counterparts because of the addition of guard counter. So blocking with your twohanded weapon should've been utilised more even in the base game imo

Its because in japanese the lore is way more straight forward and easier to understand than in the english localization where they use cryptic old english with squiggly sentence structures. there are also alot of mistranslations.

She did take over five hours, that said she did beat him with the "guts sword", i had to cheese this fucker with the fingerprint shield, i actually learned quite a few things watching her beat this boss, for example i never thought of trying to go for a stagger when radhan charges the big AoE or how effective the blocking is with the "guts sword" can be, our rabbit is a hell of gamer.

@@NinzaQZ I was getting turned to paste at 15, even with dragoncrest greatshield, opal tear, and good armour. Went all the way to 20 to get into normal boss damage range.

@@imaencuru maybe stat difference she is str build with a lot of vigor.. levelling up str will reward you some dmg negation.. + she is using golden vow incantation it gives you defense as well

It's not a full spoiler, there is more to it than just Radahn. I think you will still be pleasently surprised.

I raced through the DLC as fast as possible, doing almost nothing else on the launch weekend, because I knew this would happen otherwise. Not something everyone can do, though.
