@@bluepower1177 That's so god damn stupid. In my country there was a community project in the early 2000's called "Winnie the Pooh - The Untold Story", a parody where Winnie and the gang were shown as perpetual drunks and drug addicts and that shit was more faithful to the source material than that movie.

You know what would've been an actual GOOD motive for Winnie and Piglet? Let's say after Christopher Robin leaves for college, an extreme incident takes place that kills everyone in Pooh's friend group, EXCEPT for Pooh and Piglet. It could be a wild pack of rabid wolves that are hungry for blood, or perhaps a hunter who's been watching Pooh and friends for a while now and wants to collect their heads or something like that. I don't know, just some inciting incident. Anyways, Pooh and Piglet are overcome with extreme amounts of grief, guilt, and sorrow that they were the only ones who got out alive, and, looking for someone to blame, blame Christopher Robin for leaving them and not being there to defend/protect them. They vow to somehow find a way to revive their dead friends and get revenge on Christopher Robin. Unknowing there is no truly good way to get their friends back, through the years that lead up to the movie they slowly become more and more sociopathic. Combined with a new sense of schizophrenia, they are compelled to do truly heinous things, such as murder, when compelled by the supposed 'spirits' of their dead friends. They have eventually indefinitely fallen off the deep end by the time of the movie's intro. Somewhere in the movie's timeframe, I'd say about 75% in, it is revealed that they never wanted to kill, just knowing it had to be done. Why? Because, through the means of a, possibly satanic, ritual, Pooh and Piglet have managed to perfect the dark arts and can now take the souls of other people, and infuse them into the bodies of their long dead friends. The ritual would bring their friends back, finally. But they wanted to make sure that the person whose soul they are using is clean and untainted by adulthood. It's why they kill, when someone is found to be an unfit soul, they kill them. They knew if they let witnesses go, sooner or later they(Pooh and Piglet) would be killed too, unable to see their friends again. So they have to kill the unfit souls, not because they want to, but because they need to. Because they need to complete the ritual. Anyways, one of the people kidnapped is revealed to be a fit soul for, let's say, Tigger, and they begin the ritual. Christopher Robin and the girls stop the ritual and the movie continues to its ending. BUT, this is where I want to differ from the movie's ending. Instead of Pooh winning and Christopher Robin running away like a coward, Pooh gets hit by the truck at a speedy 50-60 mph and seemingly dies, …except he doesn't. He's wielding an ax and is sort of speed walking to Christopher Robin and the girl who was about to become Tigger, whilst talking about how her soul is perfect for Tigger. He stops dead in his tracks though, a full foot away from the two, when it's revealed that he got shot! The truck driver apparently had stored a gun in the glove box, and whoever was driving the truck had just shot Pooh right in the heart. Pooh chokes on his own blood for a little before collapsing to the ground. Christopher Robin quickly runs over to the dying bear, wherein he spouts his final words "I--I just wanted them all back again...(chokes) Can you really blame me for that? (dies)." It's a bittersweet ending, one I don't know how to cap off. So I'll probably let the replies decide that for me until I can make my own decision. So, anyways, that was my attempt to try and create a better motive for Pooh Bear and Piglet. Tell what you liked and didn't like! Maybe some constructive criticism? This took me about 30 mins, so yeah. Hope this doesn't get deleted. For some comments of mine just asking questions to creators are getting deleted for no particular reason. Odd. It's 10:45 PM where I'm at, so if you're reading this at night, then have a good night!

Idea for another Winnie the Pooh horror movie: Christopher Robin becomes a construction man and is tasked with tearing down the hundred acre wood. You’d think that he’d be hesitant, but Christopher has become so blinded by greed that he doesn’t even care. This causes Winnie and pals to attempt to hijack everything and unintentionally, because they’re animals that only now have been exposed to the concept of vehicles until that point, murder people in the process.

Just found this on the Reviews ... Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is a cinematic masterpiece which showcases the best experience which a film can offer. The sheer magnitude in which this movie presents its high quality storytelling and entertainment value is unprecedented by any other film in recent history, perhaps even of all time. Watching Winnie on the big screen was an exhilarating experience, seeing his voluptuous figure stalk through the shadows was more orgasmic than the touch of any woman. Watching the creativity in which the attractive yellow bear carried out his vengeance against Christopher Robin was a truly magnificent sight to behold. Furthermore, the inclusion of Piglet served as a welcome addition to the film's plot and overall enjoyment. Seeing the beautiful pink creature known as Piglet carry out his bloody revenge against the victims of this film was almost as exhilarating as the sheer sexual appeal of the creature. Watching the two large sexual beasts known as Winnie and Piglet was a truly magnificent sight, seeing Winnie's yellow face on screen for the first time nearly made me bust right there and then in the cinema.

The lighting and colors being slightly off, combined with the ratty toy look of the characters made it more unsettling than it should've been. That and the night before I'd read a short story about a kid finding his little sister having a tea party in a field with her stuffed animals only for the toys to kill her because they thought him being there meant she told him about them. Edit: the closest thing I can find is "I Always Hated My Sister's Doll" by CreepsMcPasta but I don't think it's the same story. It has the same premise but the tone's different. I could just be remembering it wrong but the story I remember had a more innocent tone before the toys noticed the brother and the story was shorter. I also think it ended with the brother running away and didn't have the scene where the parents found the body. I think one of the female creepypasta readers did a video on it at the time. Again, I could just be misremembering the CMP video due to how similar they are, but I'll try looking again after work. Edit 2: having checked all the creepypasta narrators I would've watched at the time, I haven't found a similar story so I'm pretty sure the CreepsMcPasta story is the one I remembered.

This was an actual movie?? I only expected it to be a satirical concept or at most a short film. It would work better as a short film because they tend to iron out the cliches and filler. Nothing is wholly original, I know, but anything would be less cliche than "spring break gone wrong." I prefer The Banana Splits because while it is an odd case too, the characters are more memorable, it pays more homage to Banana Splits than this movie did Pooh. The actor for the four fuzzies was amazing! He'd make for a great Tigger, funnily enough. That's actually what makes this movie a letdown; it shoulda referenced Pooh more if it was gonna be feature length. You got a scene where he uses what looks like Eeyore's tail as a whip and one where he kills one with bees. I wanted more of that kind of representation! Coulda had Pooh get stuck in a hole or saying "oh bother" as he's about to get run over. It should have been a horror comedy. But rather, someone gets attacked in a pool and I start wondering what that has to do with Pooh. If the writers put more "think, think, think" into it they may realize their lost potential. In the end, I can only sum this up with two words... oh bother...

6:54 Apparently, the nudity was the actress' choice. The director, Rhys Frake-Waterfield, said in some interview that it wasn't in the script at all, but after they went to the location and had to re-work the scene due to constraints (the woodchipper wasn't planned either btw), the actress (May Kelly) said that she can go nude because it'll be "funny" and "no one will expect it". One of the producers also said that she wanted to "outdo" one of the other actresses after stills of her in a bikini exploded on the internet.

Technically a winnie the pooh horror movie could be interesting if done correctly. Imagine a kid gets lost in the woods and is taken in by these formless creatures that in his presence become the winnie the pooh cute characters as they adapt to this lost kid feeling protected and nurtured by them, then years pass with them caring for this christopher robin stand in and playing with him being true to the stories, but the kid realizes he isn’t growing up and is discouraged from leaving every time he tries cause the things like him and want him to stay, leading to the typical progressive tension build as the child starts seeing the characters in creepier forms relative to his changing impression of them and eventually he has to run away and its full blown horror but keeping the characters as misguided protectors that are believably winnie the pooh characters, with the creepiness coming from the twisted premise and not gratuitous violence. That would be an interesting spin on the actual characters rather than a stupid cash grab using the recognizable designs and the edgy factor.

@@SuperSweetLucas Yes it does. The 100 year clause is exactly what Disney pushed to extend. It is, in fact, now 120 years. Try to keep up, please. @@theactualmasterbeef I think he's referring to, Copyright Term Extension Act - "The 1998 Act extended these terms to life of the author plus 70 years and for works of corporate authorship to 120 years after creation" Further down the article, " _Known author:_ life of the author plus *70 years;* _anonymous/pseudoanonymous/unknown author/works-for-hire:_ *120 years* from creation" So looks like the 120 year thing DOES benefit corpo productions and commissions. I'm not sure which one DIsney's IPs fall under though.

Horror movies are a great investment. A fancy summer blockbuster will cost $100 mill and maybe make $400 mill so you get a 4x return. But a shitty horror movie made with theater kid interns and windows movie maker will cost $100K but you'll get a return of several million. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey cot $100K and so far a $3.5 Mill box office. A 35x return in what, 2 years? Not bad.

You know that when Disney try to extend their hold on their characters so they don't fall under public domain, they will use this as an argument
@cincymutt
@cincymutt Жыл бұрын
I don't think worries over quality have ever been a factor in changing copywright laws. It's always been about money/favors moving behind the scenes for years. And now that everyone knows about that, Disney may have run out of times they can push it back. Personally, I don't care that much. Yeah things should go public domain eventually, but there are enough complaints about originality without everyone spamming their own takes on popular properties.

It's The Banana Splits movie all over again. An old-school childhood classic that eventually in the future get the horror version to completely bank off the Five Nights at Freddy's crowd and also bank off of nostalgia people have for the characters which would be the older generation which most likely recognizes the property

This makes me genuinely angry that a golden opportunity like this was wasted. I really wish MeetCanyon had wrote the script because he’s one of the best at writing horror and comedy. Unfortunately public domain movies now have a bad name so it will be hard to get people to go watch another one if it was created 😡
