Hope that your day-7 was quite peaceful and joyful. Lot of love and respect from a solo mountain hiker from the Lower Chitral District of Pakistan.

Hi Anthony! Very picturesque stretch (no doubt helped by a bit of sunshine!). Quick glimpse of Hawes looked nice. Not a place I've visited yet. All the best👍

Hawes is a lovely place. Well worth a visit. The village chippy was excellent too which helped replace all those burned calories

What a lovely stretch you walked. Yes, yesterday it said that your upload was private for a while. I watched it in the end. Great to see you carrying on. The weather is glorious today here in lincolnshire, i hope you are getting some of the same.

I’m quite surprised that most B&Bs don't have wi-fi but at least you can get the signal eventually. Well done on hitting the 100 mile mark.... amazing achievement. All the best with today's hike. I hope the sun keeps shining. xx

Looks like you are walking through a park. I’m sure you have your tougher moments that don’t make it on the video. Don’t be afraid of showing the struggles along the way. The Crown sounded slightly strange you never know what to expect in these far flung places. It’s great the weather is holding up well. Well done Anthony 👍🇬🇧😄

I remember the PW really distorting the perception of a 'short walk' 🙄. By PW standards, 14 miles is quite short but it certainly aint short for one of my typical day walks! Great conditions for enjoying the high limestone fells between Horton and Hawes. ATB, Chris

Seems there is no such thing as a short day on the PW. 17 miles tomorrow and then two back to back 20 milers. Hoping the body can keep going!

Looks like that sheep got squashed by the gate, my favourite place in Yorkshire is Hawes, there's a great pub near there where I got banned due to we were playing darts and there was an parrot in a cage, anyway the dart bounced out of the board and into the parrots foot and I got my marching order like I did it deliberately, that plane looked like an U.S special forces V-22 Osprey

I liked Hawes. Went to the fab chippy last night. Thankfully m, no more deceased sheep we’re spotted today

Great video, Anthony. I still intend to walk the PW again. Maybe next year. Are you staying at Tan Hill? If so, enjoy. One of my fave PW spots.

I’m staying in Kirkby Stephen tonight. Tan Hill only had really expensive rooms available unfortunately

Good morning! Watching your videos has already become part of my routine! I haven’t done a long distance path for a while and I think I might have to do shorter legs. These videos are useful for planning purposes and incredibly well edited especially considering you’re editing them ‘on the fly’.

Thanks very much. I’m using KineMaster to edit the videos with on my mobile. It’s a good little App to be fair

Am curious Anthony - is there a 'busy time' for the Pennine Way ? I had expected you would see a lot more people...perhaps I am just not familiar. Or are you just in a part that is just not so accessible ? I think it interesting the differences in certain trails. On the AT there are lots of hostels (in most parts). A bit more communal than B & B's in regards to privacy/sleeping accommodations. Surprising how quickly the miles fly by - well done !

The full Pennine away route isn’t that popular for some reason. Logistically it’s a challenge unless you’re camping. It goes through a lot of remote areas too with no phone signal etc. Quite a lot of people hike the popular sections on day walks or short multi day hikes though

Hi. Thanks for the video log. I do have a couple of questions: You mentioned earlier about training. What training did you do to prepare? Also you often mention stretching at the end of the day. What stretches do you do ? And finally your pack looks quite small. What did you take with you? I ask only as I am preparing to do the PW this year 12 months after a heart condition diagnosis for the British Heart Foundation Many thanks and happy walking

Hi Peter. Thanks for watching the videos. My training consisted mostly of putting the miles in hiking, including back to back 20 mile days just to prepare the body. I had a 15 minute stretching routine before and after each day. Mostly focused on stretching the leg muscles and feet in particular. My pack was small as I decided not to camp along the trail and stayed in B&B’s. I used a luggage transfer company which meant I only had to carry a day pack. I’d highly recommend that as not being saddled with loads of pack weight made for a much more enjoyable experience. Hope this helps? Best of luck with your upcoming PW adventure. 🙂

Hi Anthony Thanks for your speedy reply - I did think your pack was rather small to contain even the essentials for a 15 day trek! I have been in contact with Brigantes for baggage transfer . Which company did you use? Best wishes Peter
