G'day guys, today we are reacting to new music from PTX Blinding Lights, from their new EP at Home. They did such a great performance on this, Kevin really stood out and I loved that Matt was having a great time.

They couldn't even hear each other until the mix came back. I'm glad you pointed out Matt smiling bc I noticed that too. If you haven't watched any of the ptx eperience videos from their youtube channel you should. Matt is jovial all the time. He was a perfect addition I think. Great reaction as usual!

Hey there. I enjoyed your reaction to this as I always do but I'd just like to make a general point. I'm a 70 year old man living alone (through choice) in Scotland as it happens. There are only a couple of things I miss about not having someone around and one of them is being able to turn to someone and share the experience when I've heard or seen something great and this is a service you and other reactors provide and it's an important one. I'm sure there are many others of any age who are in the same position, especially during this time and I just want to thank you for giving us the chance to feel involved and sharing. Thank You.

@@JoSedunary Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm unofficially a Pentaholic. I follow just about everything by them and their various offshoots and haven't been disappointed yet, either visually or aurally and I'm aware of the inclusive nature of the community that's grown up around them which I'm sure is as much about their personalities as their talents. But in this case I just felt it appropriate to acknowledge the part played by the various reactors who provide a meeting ground for like-minded souls. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Kevin is an alien, for a human to make those noises is not possible from anybody other than a Kevin. This song is three and a half minutes long and by the end of it Kevin’s cheeks must have been paralysed, he never stops beatboxing the entire way through but what is even more amazing about this particular video, it was all done in lockdown in their own homes, how they kept to any kind of an arrangement is incredible.

The fact that Kevin keeps that speed/technique up throughout every single track is so impressive - Avi/Matt also had to sustain a bassline which was pretty hectic on some of them...but KO does it all day long ! So glad you played it twice too mate - I normally watch 6 times...one group look and than I concentrate on each of them separately haha - too much going on for one look 😊

Great reaction! I love so much Kevin and Matt job in this arrangement and also the vocal of Mitch in all the "ep at home". I prefer his low range. It's more sweet and delicate. (As alwais sorry for my strange english) 😉

Yes , Kevin needs more appreciation !! It's always so "normal" when he's doing his beatboxing and he's making it seem so easy, but I can do the "cats and boots" hardly properly , LOL !!

I hear you. I’ve seen them eight times and Kevin is so flipping good, that you don’t really notice him bc it sounds like a track playing. Then I feel super guilty and focus. Although, I really think Kevin is probably the biggest reason why they were able to break into mainstream. I mean, they’re all insanely talented in their own right, and ahead of any other a capella group. But Kevin, he just sounds like so many instruments. Amazing!

REALLY missing Avi's baritone in this one. I really think his voice would have added that extra layer this song really needs. Even so, I think they did a fantastic job! Totally love this song and was so excited that PTX covered it! Good on ya, PTX!

I always enjoy your reactions so much! I like that you 'know' your music, new and old. I grew up in the 60's, so it's great to see someone who is not 'old' know music from then. You are right, it is wonderful to have new music like this from them to brighten our days during this time! Quarantining is hard, but it's gotta be done! Its wonderful to have new music from PTX to help get us through it!!

Are you thinking of “Take On Me”? The ‘80’s song it sounds like? I just watched a mash up of these two songs by this band called Friends Like These. It was perfect! I had never heard of that group until today. Maybe check it out.

For PTX, this is so easy. It's a 9 to 5 for them to do this. Still they blow the original out of the water. And saying that, we're talking about Max Martin and the Weeknd. And I do love the original. But this is just better

I JUST NOW got the notification for it. That’s so weird. It didn’t even show up in my subscriptions when I checked them earlier. I do that regularly because this isn’t the first time I missed notifications so now it’s just a habit. Like checking mail. Lol.
