I think the original light seals on the Pentax 67 are on the body on the long end and only on the door on the short end. In addition, the Finder Blocks go ON the finder, not the body. Either way, great product and nice video. Thanks for helping us film guys out!

LightAdrenaline You could install the foam on the prism finder as following image. img13.shop-pro.jp/PA01282/754/product/75837725_o1.jpg I checked the foam but the size is the same, you could install on the body or on the prism finder.

It doesn’t matter where you install foam , on the body or the prism. Absolutely change nothing. Just aesthetics.

Thank you for your comment One Degree Life. Do you think it could slow down the film to put too much of it. I put it like the video and now it's harder for me to arm the film. I even have a film that got stuck after the 5th picture. Thank you for your reply.

@@apentice001 Too much of the foam? Hard to say. I don't think so, but anything is possible, I guess. Make sure there is no sticky residue, that could cause problems. If anything, the foam pushes AGAINST the door, it doesn't make it tighter in the compartment. Is your film plate pressure ok? Too much pressure there could stick the film. Other than that, it could be an advancement issues. Something in the gears or the winding mechanism.

When I look inside my mirrorbox, I see almost no foam to soften the mirror slap. That was a surprise, it's such a bit mirror and it almost seems to hit pure metal. There is however one small piece of foam to catch the corner of the mirror. One corner. Strange. I have it on both my Pentax 67 & 6x7. Do you have any ideas on that?

Hi , it’s normal . The foam is not mandatory for the mirror . The Pentax system will stop the mirror before it hits the upper part. The foam is only for emergency when the system fails and mirror going further. So it’s like a break to stop. You can install a small foam 1.5 mm on the other side towards the end. It will reduce the shutter noise just a tiny bit but almost no impact

@@caleidoo no problem! I actually checked repair manual , and there is a reason why there is only one foam on right side. It’s not because Pentax was stupid to put 1 and not 2 . No no , they are smart guys so there must be a reason. The reason is that the left side has his own special foam but inside the camera , it’s near the aperture level (inside)

Hello there, I bought this kit from you on Ebay, did you test it with film because I have the feeling it's a bit too big, it blocked my second roll of film at the 5th picture. Thanks for your opinion
@AsahiAki Жыл бұрын
Tested rolliong film before. I think the foam does not affect film rolling since foam does not touch or contact films. I hope you could check the other reasons to cause problem to foll films.

Pretty sure your not meant to be taking off the prism with the lens attached ...

Correct, always lens before prism or you run the risk of damaging the chain.

he's being a bit careless installing the seals //For the best "long term" results it works best when you take your time & think before you act // the second thing, I noticed is that he took the prism off before his lens // On the Pentax 67II that would be fine; but this is not the 67II
