I refused to go to the hospital about 2 months ago. I kept throwing up blood. The ambulance finally came. I apparently caught a stomach ulcer and puked out 80% of the blood in my entire system. The doctors told me if I stayed another 24 hours with no medical attention I probably wouldnt be able to enjoy more Anthony skits. I love all of you and stay safe you degenerates

My big brother is like that too. and thats despite i live in a country where hospital is free He thinks hospital is overexagerated scam unless its clear emergency He thinks time, sport and some super food and grandma tricks can heal everything in lifrle He refused to do blood test for many years. And recently he discovered he has advanced diabetes and nerves damages that can maybe lead to amputation. And apparently if he just did blood test 2 years ago. He would had avoid that nerve damage risk through medication Now he is stressing about that.and is taking hospital stuff seriously and stopped thinking the whole mister nature invincible non sense 😆

my family are oldschool catholics in the UK and there's not even home remedies. water + sleep cures all. even our doctors just prescribe you paracetemol + water + sleep. my russian fiancée breaks a nail and calls an ambulance immediately, I've been walking round 20 years with a dislocated cartilege in my knee and I just go to sleep when it gets really bad lol, there is probably some sensible middle ground

I know my relative who was forcibly taken to hospital and the doctor said if they delayed any sooner she would've died. Turns out she had pneumonia and now because of the delay she has developed blockages in her arteries and now she is on permanent blood thinners. Moreover, she lives in Canada and all her treatment was free furthermore she also has corporate insurance.

Last time I was in a bad rollover accident (I rolled my truck 6 times down the side of a mountain when offroading), I argued with the EMT's for like 20 minutes about going to the hospital cause I was worried about the bill. They were like, you have a concussion and could literally drop dead any minute... I said I'll take my chances, but they said the car insurance would cover it, so I relented.

People who are dying refuse treatment/transport for this very reason. It’s always the people who need treatment/transport who adamantly refuse it. The people who don’t really need care (90% of our calls) always wanna go to the hospital “my nose has been stuffy for 3 days. The hospital I went to earlier told me I’m fine. Take me to a different hospital; no more questions.”

😂 I broke my leg and ankle. The first person I called was my brother, and he told me I should go to the hospital. I hung on him, dragged myself over to couch, and sat there for 2 hours wondering if I really had to call the ambulance. I did finally end up calling only because I was on the second floor with my child.

Well, someones’ gotta pay for all the homeless people who take up all the ER beds; because they for sure ain’t paying. Thanks to legislation in the late 1990s, ambulance companies and hospitals can not refuse care just because someone has no proof of their ability to pay the bill. The hallways of ERs are littered with drunk, homeless people in beds because of this.

Honestly this is great. I sent this to everyone because I’ve been hit by multiple cars, fallen off of the roof of a 3 story building, hit in the face by a tractor. Been electrocuted to the point of passing out, multiple heat strokes and I never go to the hospital. Everyone thinks I’m crazy but I’ve got work to do. Being in the hospital takes way too long and I’ve got more important things to do like go to work. After each and every one of their things I’ve just gotten back up and gone to work and haven’t missed a day. Doesn’t matter if it hurts to even breathe but I’m showing up to work no matter what

Cuz they charge you $10 for an alcohol swab to clean your skin for a shot. People with no insurance get charged MORE than people with insurance. There's behind the scenes negotiating between what an insurance will pay and the hospital will charge. Good luck, buddy, no insurance? You're charged excessively. I'll never forget the time my brother got stabbed, refused to go to the hospital because he was already living on section 8, and so my mother ended up picking him up and stitching him up. They used my bed to do it so it had blood stains for the rest of the time I had it. True story, I'm being 100%, that actually happened. The American Medical system is that screwed up.

A few years ago, my dad dropped a live reciprocating saw directly onto his foot on his birthday. He refused to go to the doctor for about half an hour while bleeding out, but then my mom got home and forced him to go to the doctor.

When I was in college, I was having severe chest pains and went with my friend to the hospital. I went to the desk and gave my aunts insurance (I was covered at the time as I was only 19) and sat in the waiting room for about 20 minutes. My chest started to feel better, I told the nurse I didn't want to be seen and left and got ice cream. (Turns out it was heartburn). Forgot all about the hospital visit until a couple weeks later my aunt called me, asking what I was sick with, as her health insurance was billed 260. Billed for something, when I never even talked to a doctor or managed to get past the waiting room.

I willingy got into an ambulance once for a mental depression I was in at the time so they could "help me out" in getting to a hospital instead of me driving. They charged me $2,000. Never again!
