The rivalry between Klopp and Pep has to be one of the most respectable to exist in top level sport. When the boss of your arch rivals looks genuinely a bit gutted that the sparring is over, you know you've done well.

Honestly trying to ignore my Liverpool bias, and as a pure football fan, I'm going to miss everything he's brought. I love their rivarly and what they've done. "He's not run out of gas, he's running out of gas" I heard on ESPN, and honestly, it's perfect. I don't as a Liverpool fan, want to have bad memories of Klopp, and I don't have any now. I just don't want a waning Wenger-esque phase where 'he should go', but I can't bring myself to say it. If he feels it's the right time, I've believed in him every step of the way so far, and I'll believe him now when he says this is the best time for him to leave.

Klopp has finished above City once in 9 years and has been spending more now since 2019. Klopp isn’t fit to call Pep a rival more like.

As a Liverpool fan there is no rivalry at all between Liverpool and Man City. United and Everton will always be our rivals. But Klopp and Pep are truly special managers and it was their rivalry that fascinated us, but you could always tell there was mutual admiration and respect, no malice, just two great managers going head to head over and over again. But like when Ferguson Vs Wenger died down you can't help but feel a big Premier League chapter has closed now
