Trouble-prone teen Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out school but thats the least of his problems. The gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters seem to have walked out of the pages of Percys Greek mythology texts and into his life and theyre not happy. Zeus lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now, Percy and his friends must embark on a cross-country adventure to catch the true thief, save Percys family, and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

Everyone needs to stop complaining about how it's different from the book. If the director didn't modernize it there would be no hype and it would be crap. I'm still really excited to see it even though I read all the books.

Saw this movie close to a dozen time, got the movie on my iPod nano, and bought the DVD! love it. One of my all time favs. A must see. Everyone was great in the movie, hope a sequal comes out?

Look, movies dont always follow exactly what the books say. Sometimes its too hard and sometimes they try to improvise and "make it better".. i guess. let's just try to enjoy what we're going to see in a few weeks :D

annabeth is blonde, luke is blonde too, underworld doesnt have lava, hidra doesnt have fire breath, he gets the shield only at the 2nd book from his brother

At around 1:30 in this trailer, there's a moving vehicle with a turret on it! I just finished watching the movie (finally), and I kept waiting to see how the heck that was gonna be worked into it, and it just wasn't even there at all! What happened to that scene? Deleted extra on the DVD or what?

this is going to be the best movie ever i have the ultimate guide it is sick i read all the series it is sick but grovers black in the movie and hes white in the book and annabeth has bloond hair and blushish grayish hair eyes in the book but she has brown hair and gray eyes but i am going tomorrow on the first day its going to be awesome and i cant wait even till tomorrow i want to see it noww it is really cool but it makes me really angry but i want to see it really bad yeah percy is awesome

yea, well, after watching this a lot, i realized; i dont think they cared about how they looked, but more about the personality of the character(and personally, Logan fits the spot both looks and personality for the part if u ask me).

WOW this looks awesome, Camp Half Blood is epic and Chiron is exactly how I pictured him. I'm a little disappointed with the casting of Annabeth-she is nothing like I picture her in the book. Hopefully her acting skills will be good enough to capture the character's personality. Tnx 4 uploading xOx

annabeth fights with a dagger not a crossbow and shes blonde not brunette and luke doesnt have the scar and chiron is a centaur with white fur not brown and persaphone doesnt show up in the first book because its summer or spring

....o_O trailer looks really good but i got a bad feeling about this.....this looks like the kind of movie with some average kid in an average life then one day...BAM!! kid has some special power and his friends help him.....its bin done so many times and do we really need ANOTHER book series into film?? dont get me wrong the action looks awesome and im really big for Greek mythology but im not putting my hopes up......

Just face facts ppl; film makers either never or rarely make movies from books which are exactly like the story. Harry Potter, Twilight, Narnia etc. all hav been changed, cut down and added to to better suit what the directer wants. Sadly, the writer hadrly ever gets a choice in the matter
