...and I forgot to mention what softwares I use. I will mainly use it for coding(mainly R and python) and some mathematical/engineering softwares like GAMS and Cplex (..and ofc excel). Maybe in the future I get into Machine learning, but I don't have any plan for it now(my uni modules don't have ML either.)

Spend the money if able on then Legion 7. The 2021 Lenovo Yoga 9i 15-inch Intel i7-1165G7 and 16GB, HDR 400, 500 NITS was alright but expensive. " my earlier comment - The truth is revealed. This guy Georgetech really nailed Lenovo on poor Quality. This was not the situation with Lenovo roughly 5 years ago. Lenovo has gone kaputt. Meaning a cheap motherboard with soldered-in memory. One simple cooling solution or only having one fan spells Disaster. Misplacement of speakers or lack of good speakers resulting in poor audio. No dedicated graphics card, never did like integrated GPU. Low-end quality screen and at 250 to 300 NITS not enough for outdoor/in the sun as need 350 NITS very minimum and at 500 NITS so much better providing it is a matte screen and not a glossy screen. Then need 144Hz refresh rate or 3ms gtg. The Touchpad is average not very good and the Touchscreen is worst because it is cheap. The Intel i7-1165G7 is good but the integrated Iris Xe GPU does very little for making it a Gaming laptop. Must have a dedicated GPU to play games. A laptop with GTX 1050ti is even better than Iris Xe. Okay! so we get Thunderbolt 4, a decent keyboard feel with travel, an i7 CPU, and an aluminum case. It's not worth $800, maybe $549." Any computer with 8GB of memory is a huge failure. Also, need a laptop that allows you to Upgrade Memory and NVMe m.2 SSD (prefer to have 2 slots) one for Operating System aka Windows 10/11 and other m.2 SSD for data storage and programs. The Tent style is nice but still can be knocked over and crash on the floor. Forget Yoga! Legion 5 appears to have too many problems, I'd go with Legion 7.

@@rayrayballer1 honestly his review is horse shit. lenovo is making most high end laptops since decades. and besides everything, I've got this laptop and its just so good. buy the oled version with amd cpu and 16 gb ram if you have the budget. he is reviewing ips lcd screen with 8 gb intel version.
