Both he and Vegeta did it in the manga prior to the ToP arc. I actually like a lot of the stuff from the manga. Hit's powers seem to actually make more sense in use/counter, along with a reasonable expectation of "can't affect people stronger than him". SSB not being good for drawn out fights and max power dropping on multiple uses was neat, and kept SSG relevant (and I think Goku and Vegeta both look great in God form). Ultra Ego's design is absolutely bonkers to me, and it's the perfect individual transformation for Vegeta. Does it have problems? Yes. Would those problems be fixed by making the manga bi-weekly instead? I think yes.

​@@pfagan24 To be honest, I wish Blue was never introduced and made Super Saiyan God the Flagship form for the majority of DBS like Super Saiyan 4 is to DBGT. They could've had more focus with it and master it by the Goku Black/Future Trunks Arc and then bring in Ultra Instinct and that stuff in the Tournament of Power.

@@DarthKamui I blame Resurrection F for Blue. Bringing back Frieza wasn't an awful choice; giving him a power up was needed. Golden transformation fits precisely his character. But clearly they decided Goku fighting Frieza and not being a Super Saiyan style would have been weird. I think having him (or Vegeta) go Blue after a real ass kicking/near death makes more sense than getting the form off-screen. I've always enjoyed the McAvoy and Fassbender scene in First Class where Magneto moves the satellite dish, and Xavier says "between rage and serenity". That would have made sense for Blue; not just using Super Saiyan while switching to God ki usage. Edit: from what I recall too, it was the Japanese audience that dislikes SSG, but loved Blue. I could be wrong though, but that would make sense why XenoVerse 2 didn't get God until much later.

@@jasonone8726 actually as Toyotaro's special Pages said, the Form Vegeta uses in the Manga is Mastered SSGSS, or Blue, not Evolution, it's just slightly darker then usual, as it is basically the True Potential of SSBlue

Exactly why people have got to stop scaling anime DBS with manga. In the future trunks/goku black arc of the manga, it was explained that Goku and vegeta likely also reached the limits of themselves and cannot grow any stronger by abusing zenkais. So they're actually weaker by a decent amount compared to anime, even with their strongest forms. With how radically different both versions are, they cannot use one feat over another to upscale certain characters.

Ultra Ego and Ultra Instinct are just distinct forms of Vegeta and Goku. Goku focuses his style of combat on dodging and very specific but powerful blows, more akin to the Earth style of martial arts combat. Vegeta's Ultra Ego is using his combat prowess to buff himself up in power as the battle progresses, really the true power of a Saiyan, it's like having a real time Zenkai Boost. I'd say Instinct and Ego are about equal in power, however Goku's used Instinct more often so he probably has a slight adavntage. Ego might be less useful though or more useful depending on the opponent. Against someone like Broly, either form is useful, Instinct or Ego. But against someone like Moro, Ego might actually be more useful to combat his power drain ability. Instinct is probably better against opponents that are also proper matial artists or who have combat experience like a GoD or a fighter like Jiren. They're just unique forms to Vegeta and Goku. Much like how SSBE is unique to Vegeta and Goku has Kaioken Blue.

From what I can understand, Super Saiyan Blue pretty much basically is just a Super Saiyan form with God Ki Energy.

Maybe containing the ki inside the saiyans body is the answer to ssj3's stamina / energy drain but the way to do that is to buff up but goku won't do that because goku determined ssj grades 2 and 3 to not be combat effective but maybe he was wrong because he chose to not buff up at all and just disregarded any possible utility the forms could have provided in understanding ssj ( goku maybe a genius at combat but he doesn't really reflect on the past very much as seen with him not connecting the dots of what he learned form rosh/korin/popo to what he was learning from whis at least not until roshi reminded him of those lessons)

It would be pretty pointless in the Anime tho, since the Drawbacks of Blue aren't as Big as in the Manga

Your logic is flawed. An aura before a finishing set of moves is just a standard power up. By way of Perfected Blue, to not have visible aura is to be more powerful as the otherwise excess energy exuded is harnessed fully inside the character instead; if it was perfected blue and the aura appears right before a finisher it would be weaker.

The DBS: Broly movie is canonical to the DBS Anime continuity where there is no Perfected Blue. The DBS Manga skipped the Broly Arc but it showed its own version of the events in Chapter 42 and a bonus story.

@Jason Todd The movies have their own canonical storyline, for example how Goku and Vegeta both didn't use their respective SSBKKX20 and SSBE forms in their fight against Broly while in the Manga during the Broly events Goku and Vegeta were shown using SSBE and Perfected SSBE.

All Zamasu is is that he's invincible so he regenerate his wounds, he doesn't have unlimited stamina or power like an Android does. So eventually he will run out of Ki if the fight goes on long enough. He will just be able to heal any injury you give to him ever.

Because they’re probably not on that level with god Ki yet. Gohan was young so it was easy for him to pick it up because he was still at the age where he had that insane kid goku type copy ability, while goku had about 14-15 years of experience with manipulating his Ki. Goku and vegeta have only had god ki for like 4-5 years and are probably still trying to understand all of its mechanics (Goku only used regenerative capabilities once against beerus and that seems like it was a complete accident)

the anime did not make sense when SSJB Goku was overpowering Merged Zamasu when Black by himself was getting the better of SSJB Goku

@@jasonone8726 You have a point. Then again, both version of DBS has forms, abilities and powers works differently. In anime TOP, I believe it may be SSB spends more energy and stamina compare to SSG, but not too limited and strenuous like the manga make it be. Since it's a tournament where multiple people fight at once, it made sense the consumption problem begin to arise.

In the anime, Blue acts basically like Super Saiyan form. Sometimes you see it with the aura and sometimes without. It's not like the manga form at all. The anime is pretty unreliable with showing aura, it's just there for flash pretty much, just to show someone powered up. The perfected no aura Blue form is pretty much exclusive to the manga.

At this point unless there is another drawback to SSJ3 he should turn into it instead of SSJ if he needs to be slightly serious.

@@jasonone8726 It was the issue with both just in a different way. It all boils down to not being able to maintain the form for very long until you master it.

I mean SSJ3 is kind of pointless, I liked the form too, but it needed some sort of downside so that Vegeta didn't fall behind to Goku and so Goku didn't just spam it. SSJ3 really was a pointless form though it never won a single fight definitively.

We don't know how good Gohan's new Beast form is though, we're going off what Piccolo said and to be honest Piccolo is basically out of touch compared to Goku and Vegeta's power.

If memory serves me correct you have two ways in the series to detect God ki. 1 would be to become a god. 2 would be exposed to it long enough and you can learn to detect it.
