The thing I like the most about blue is watching the initial transformation power up. I loved the way the aura seems to just break apart as he powers up.

It's an alright transformation but my favorite aspect of it is the unique sound they gave the aura in the anime. It sounds so mystical and ethereal. Very fitting for a god form.

This really is a beautiful transformation. I'm glad it's been kept exclusive to only a a couple of characters/fusions. I loved SS, but it got way too saturated by the Buu Arc and now with DBS and Heroes, everyone and their mom can awaken it. SSGSS at least feels like such a high level.

I was literally rewatching the whole Transformation Guide and then this popped up after I was done with the Saiyan Beyond God

Goku going Blue against Broly is one of my favorite transformations period. The way his aura comes out first, then his red hair spikes up unlike SSJG but without changing colors yet, then his aura turns green and he flashes into MUI for a second, then almost like he suddenly feels it coming on, his eyes prick up as the camera zooms on them and he explodes out into Blue. As far as just forms without their power levels go, Legendary Super Saiyan still is just different to me. It’s like “natural super saiyan” since Broly would get to super saiyan power levels by his nature rather than have to train. I’d love to see how they’d go about the idea of Broly using LSSJ after being a God, his own unique version of Blue that only he would have.

I really wish it was Saiyan God = red form and super Saiyan God = blue form but this is what happens when you write stories on the fly

Goku did switch between ssg and ssb in the anime vs dyspo just like In the manga

Main problem with Blue is that everyone can stand against it. For something that's on a Godly level, alot of people sure can fight against it.

13:27 um yes we did. You literally had the moment in the fight against dyspo that goku went from god to blue when throwing an attack at dyspo in the video when you said it wasnt in the anime lol. Its the only time it happens in the anime but it is there.

I remember hanging onto "SSGSS" for an unnecessarily long time. It is way easier to just say Blue lol I prefer the God form, but Blue got done dirty by Toei. Very overused The manga treats it in a very interesting way I love how it's been kept exclusive to Goku and Vegeta

SSB is my favorite transformation for many reasons as I love the idea of god ki, SSB just looks absolutely beautiful especially with its aura flared up, and it’s only accessible by two people

I always thought that the small circular energy in the SSJB aura was a nod to genki similar to how it looks when Goku is collecting ki for the genki dama

I think my favourite showcase of SSB still has to be the fight between Frieza and Vegeta in Resurrection F. The way Vegeta just kinda calmly and deliberately dismantles Frieza with barely a word spoken. This is the moment to me that I really felt SSB stood apart from other transformations in the series. Regular Super Saiyans had this explosive aura, and there was a lot of tension and emotions in their movements, which makes sense, a heightened emotional state, specifically heightened anger/aggression was how one unlocked that form, but SSB was different, and the way Vegeta moved in this fight felt to me like an excellent nonverbal way of communicating that difference.

Tbh, I find it very unlikely, that Toriyama would adapt an idea for the show, based on ONE fan art. I think it´s much more likely just a coincidence....

I felt ever since Resurrection 'F's debut, this form quickly overshadowed and made Super Saiyan God yesterday's news. I do enjoy how this form's gets supplemented by Goku and Vegeta (the former coupling it with Kaioken and the latter unlocking its evolved state).

I will always hold firm that a better naming scheme would've been Saiyan God for red hair and Super Saiyan God for Blue hair. Makes far more sense considering the red hair form is basically them in base with God Ki, but blue hair is them going Super Saiyan with God Ki.

Another amazing video, I remember back between 08-12 that Akira did an interview and was talking about the stages of the Saiyan transformations and he was modeling the next transformations after the colors of the flame (red, blue & white). It was cool because that article released as my chemistry class was about to start so the entire hour my classmates and teacher theorized about how Akira make the Saiyan transformations cooler than before and speculation is ssj4 was going to make an appearance. The other DB guy I watch is imo second best one (yall know who im talking about) and has much more money, voice actors, great editors and is still leaps and bounds behind you. People like to say how your wrong with a lot of stuff. You also never say I know that this is going to happen for sure or whatever. You give different possibilities, some I wouldn't of thought of otherwise. Your typically pretty fucking close or at least on the right path. Yes, sometimes your wrong and have been way off. So has every other person who does DB content. I appreciate the work you put into this show. I also appreciate your knowledge and insight on the show. I'd consider myself a seasoned vet and it's refreshing knowing when I watch your videos that its going to be legit talk and knowledge, I'm not getting told shit that isn't accurate thus making my knowledge flawed.

I love Super Saiyan Blue / SSGSS

I just wish we had a training sequence with Frieza juxtaposed against Goku & Vegeta, both sets of characters looking to obtain a new power, but unknown to their soon to be opponent. Possibly failing at it on the Saiyans end, but only achieving the blue form after SSGod isn't strong enough to take on Golden Frieza. I also thought at the time of Resurrection F that Goku & Vegeta couldn't become Super Saiyan anymore & that SSGSS replaced it... boy was I wrong. Also also, Vegeta stopped using the God-Blue switching technique in the manga bc he achieved Completed/Perfected Blue at the beginning of the next arc.

Dragon Ball Super has given us the first official Super Saiyan form with blue hair. We have seen a Super Saiyan form with blue hair long before Super. Broly had a rare Super Saiyan form that had blue hair. All Super did was add a blue aura field.

I wish that they did something like have Goku and Vegeta have red super Saiyan hair, but with blue aura which would be both stronger than blue and God , it would be called masterd sj god.

My theory… when you turn SS, from a Japanese perspective, I’d think “wow he’s powerful, with blond hair and blue eyes and has the ability to control massive explosive power!!! nagasaki, hiroshima watch our Goku turned American!”

I think a lot of the confusion came from the Super dub, when they say that Blue is the result of achieving god ki without using the ritual.

I'll stand by this. I always thought the forms should be: Red (Saiyan with god ki) = Saiyan God Blue (Saiyan with god ki after going Super Saiyan) = Super Saiyan God Better alliteration.

I did initially think it was from bootlegs or fan art until I ran into the videos of the transformations 4 years ago. I remember seeing the ssg figure of goku (the sdcc 2013 3 inch ones) & thinking that was a bootleg too lol.
