Great explanation, but between level 1 and 2, to which one do betriebliche Altersvorsorge belong? Because some aspects sound like level 2, others like level 2.

Hi Alex, I have a Versorgungswerk - Rente versicheung from Architektenkammer, I took it because it seems better that the normal one, want to increase my monthly payment, but maybe it would be better to get a Riester. Then my questions: 1. is the Versorgungswerk - Rente versicheung actually better than the average one? 2. should I invest more on it, or should I go for a Riester?

Hello, my company has the BVV pension scheme, basically I contribute 1/3 and the company contributes 2/3. Is this part of the 5 pension schemes? do you recommend it? thanks

If someone moves out of EU, do they also have to pay back the tax benefits (as upto 2100 euro Riester contribution is tax deductible )?
@PerFinEx
@PerFinEx 3 жыл бұрын
It depends if you kill your Riester contract before you reach retirement age. If yes, you have to pay the tax benefits back.

@@PerFinEx Thanks for the reply. I meant to ask what happens if I move back to India sometime after retirement, e.g., after reaching age of 70 years?
@PerFinEx
@PerFinEx 3 жыл бұрын
Since the German government is supporting you in contribution phase, you have to pay some form of tax/social security when you leave the EU in retirement.

Hi Alex, first of all: I love your content 🙂Second: I'm confused about this guaranteed part, so would I be able to invest in ETFs or not? First you said its a plus of the Riester because ETFs and mutual funds are possible, then you said that what's guaranteed isn't for free and comes with lower rate of return. So how is it? Can I choose if I want ETFs or the guaranteed 0%, or are there some limits for this? 😕
@slavkomag

You mention the "guaranteed portion of your savings". How big is this portion? Is it mandatory?
@PerFinEx
@PerFinEx Жыл бұрын
Yes, there are some limits. Some guaranteed portion is mandatory, the other part can be invested in ETFs. The exact percentage depends on the Riester provider and the exact Riester plan. We can help you find the best Riester plan for whatever you have planned here: perfinex.de/meeting

Hi Alex, I have few questions on Riester: 1. is it possible to 'pause' Riester, i.e. not contribute? Or will it be considered as killing the Riester? 2. Is it possible to temporarily move out of EU (say, a temporary assignment in the US) and continue the Riester? 3. Is it possible to move to another country in the EU without killing the Riester? 4. If I retire outside Germany (but in EU), how the return would be taxed? According to the tax rate of that country or according to German tax law?
@PerFinEx
@PerFinEx 2 жыл бұрын
1. Pausing and cancelling Riester are two different things. 2. Depends how long you leave. 3. Yes. 4. International taxes is a difficult topic. Feel free to reach out & we will connect you with a good tax advisor.

Hello this is an amazing video!! I just have some questions....1) can I choose not to take the benefits since im sure, I would not be living in Germany till I die? 2)I i am opting for not guaranteed contributions, can I choose the etf or mutual funds i want to invest in, or is that the job of the pension company.....so deeper into the question, does the pension company determine how i manage my investments? how do I start, online or, I speak to my employer......Thanks again for the information
@PerFinEx
@PerFinEx Жыл бұрын
1. Yes. Taking the benefits for now is probably still the better option. 2. It depends on the exact pension scheme. With the good schemes you can choose the investments yourself.

a feedback that seriously affects your viewers: The 'channel logo for subcribing' comes frequently with a sound which is a DISTRACTION for real. Instead, please keep it silent, and allow it run in header or footer. Also limit its appearance to beginning or end of the video please. Its abrupt and frequent apprearance makes your viewers lose attention to what you are saying.
