Leaving our mooring at Wharton's Lock we head through the unusual Beeston Iron Lock, designed by Thomas Telford, before performing the Bunbury Shuffle through the town's three-staircase locks.
We uncover the story of the night the German's were bombing Bunbury and the lock keeper's cottage, the now disused RAF Calveley, and we have a decision to make at Barbridge Junction...🤔

Due to the amount of Innuendos and double entendres in this episode it made me wonder. Between the straight face delivery and poor Shaun’s inability to keep it together, either the both of you are one of the best comedy double acts in years and you have missed your calling. Or you both really happen to be a natural comedy duo and really should consider working harder in your retirement. Honestly, you some how mange to produce weekly a truly entertaining show each week. Entertaining across countries and cultures is truly a gift few have and you both have it in abundance.

Personally I think they are along the lines of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis or Desi and Lucille Ball. Which is truly hinting at my age group and pay no attention to that boom your hearing. However in their case the traits are reversed and blended so well it’s like watching a comedic couple who know and care so much for each other. Such a pleasure to see in a world of hate and the stupid reasons to do so. Cheers folks.

How sad. I can't imagine why anyone would want to harass these guys. They are nothing but kindness and fun. Most likely the harassers are jealous because they don't have such a cool boat, aren't cute like C and S, and apparently aren't enjoying their lives at all. There are plenty of noxious people on YT who can be an irritation, but not these two guys.

Why would anyone take offense to these gentlemen? If it’s their sexuality that’s absurd. Could it be jealousy about a couple that can show a few hetero’s a thing or two about what a relationship should be. Is it because they are British, yes I’m reaching here but I’m attempting to understand the why! Well everyone can’t be born in the US (I freely admit to this being a free and easy shot at humor everyone will nail me for). Honestly, to disparage this couple would be like hating a litter of puppies or kittens. Yes, there are people whom may even dislike a litter of warm and fuzzies. However, we have descriptive words and locations that describe perfectly how we feel about them and where they can go or place their opinions. However, notice they didn’t attempt it on the open forum which tells you volumes about the convections they told dear and the courage to back them. In conclusion let me steal from gang culture Foxes Forever Forever Foxes thereby making Foxes fans the 4F’s

So during the Blitz in WW2 , German bombers were frequently chased by British fighters. For greater speed the Germans would drop their bombs anywhere in an attempt to escape. What happened in Bunbury was quite common. My Grandparents had a house in Harrow. The only phone box was a mile down the road which got hit by one of those bombs killing a bunch of soldiers and leaving a rather large hole in the ground. BTW my Grandfather was going to make a call that evening. Upon seeing all the people at the phone box he came home. Lucky for him.

We’ve got Pill boxes along our canal. Can just see a huge gurt big warship wending it’s way up the canal to invade wherever! 🤷🏼♀️ I absolutely hate horse flies. They actually chase you relentlessly and hurt and bleed and then itch like mad. AND! I d still got a scar on my tummy from one years later. 🥲😫 Much love. As always. 🤗💖

Loving Shaun's shirt: Tony the Tiger! For a treat my Mum would let me buy the Frosted Flakes; elsewise, it was just plain cornflakes. "Tang"- my goodness- that used to be the orange drink the astronauts had in space in the late 1960s. That stuff went to the moon! Telford, Brindley, they were both brilliant engineers. Hi guys. Loved the Bunbury shuffle. Never seen it done. I went through the same staircase about 15 years ago. Boat went down ahead of us. That crew left bottom paddles open, didn't realise and opened middle ones. Emptied our lock and we hit the bottom. They found it funny. I did not! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for all your inspirational videos. We are off-gridder full time rvers with homesteads to land on when we get too burnt out from the road. Now we are at the homestead in the high desert in Osino, NV! Nice to see you all with water views from the U.K. Thanks so very much! We love the photography and amusing educational anecdotes! Here our lands are free range for cattle, so no measuring their drinking from the creeks and if you didn't fence your property the cows have protected grazing rights on your property. Loved this video, thank you. I had an elderly friend who grew up near Calveley (not sure it's correct, but he pronounced it as, 'Carve-ley'), and he talked about the RAF being there during the Second World War, when he was a child; he and his friends used to cycle over to spot different planes. He also said that the Americans were based there for a while, and the kind young servicemen used to walk over and give the children chocolate bars and chewing gum (very precious gifts during such a difficult time). Nice to see you both looking so well, and, of course, the very gorgeous Otis😘
