Love this book! I read it when I was 14 and it might have been one of the things that actually triggered my interest in perfumes.

I have seen the film and loved it...but I have not read the book...so it is now on my list. I loved as you know how you open with a reading. You are as I have said before so good at reading aloud. A perfect review by a perfume collector that I admire and respect....The Perfume Collector....Humm... have you read that novel?

Oh yes I guess I did recommend it. One of the things I love about it is that there is a real life person in the midst of the story... just you wait and see.

Brooklyn Fragrance Lover As far as the story goes, they are very similar, but the writing of the book is great that it's worth reading just for how well it's written. Plus, I think the book has more easter eggs for us fragrance heads with all the perfume knowledge tidbits.

I have read the book and watched the movie! It was very interesting, perhaps I am not the only one who thinks it relates to the bible in some ways. I thought Jean-Baptiste was the complete opposite of Jesus. Please comment if you have thoughts on this.

Thanks for the suggestion! great movie, i have just watched it thanks to you. even tho, i was a bit confused by some scenes. but it is one of those movies that you have to watch at least once, not because it was great, but because it's sort of inspiring in a way.. ( not the murdering part ) hah anyway, thanks Daver!

Superhad07 haha! Yeah, it might be that the book explained things better than the movie did, so when I got to the movie, I already understood what was going on.
