I had the thought that I wished he had a palace, but I also feel that Akechi's free will is essential to his character and something about changing his heart forcibly doesn't sit right with me. It's the same reason I view the Phantom Thieves as not being 100% morally correct. They are in the grey, just like Akechi is. It would be different if he was like Futaba and wanted their help. I think third semester is great, and while I wanted more, at least Akechi finally got to have free will of his own. He got to carve his own path.

Akechi is probably the most interesting character in P5 to me, so this was an awesome video.

i may have a critique or 2 i dont think the greek mythology thing would suite akechi, i very much think we could have a norse myths related places where akechi is well loki as in the myths because his character really reminds me of loki in the myths if you take a more sympathetic approach to loki. like and i can see shido as odin and all the corrupted adults goro was around in valhalla. i would go on but uh yeah dont want it to be too long, i dont think akchi cared all to much about the public i believe it was more so fake, akechi wanted what joker had in essence, idk this is all mumble jumble but yeah

The only problem I have with this is that with Okumura having a change of heart means he admits to asking Shido to take hits on his competitors. Plus if we were to to remove this fact from the game then we'd also remove part of why the thieves target Okumura.

I can just imagine what his shadow boss will look like, They be two of them the angle and devil the angle is going to debuff and party and buff him self to do holy dmg while the devil will constantly attack the party dealing lots of dmg to you and your party and you need to defeat them at the same time and dont take both out the other will get back up quarter of it hp regain.

I would then replace Akechi’s persona Loki with something more fitting the Greek aesthetic.

I am gonna be blunt. This whole idea is a MUCH better way of implementing Akechi in the 3rd Semester! Like, yeah. Seeing Sae die in this version of events would have been incredibly painful. But at the same time. I really ended up liking this What If a lot more than I expected.

I absolutely love this idea, but unfortunately it wouldn’t exactly work because although a persona user can be a palace ruler, the palace wouldn’t have a shadow if the ruler is a persona-user. It’s kinda like Persona 4 in the way that the person’s shadow becomes their persona once awakened (said by Morgana.) But, I also had a some ideas for his boss fight and other stuff in the palace, i had fun writing them but once again wouldn’t work with canon. The palace starts close to the colosseum, but then the shadows catch you and toss you into the underworld area because you planned to take down “their great Lord Akechi.” You get no safe rooms close to the colosseum either, so you're forced to work your way back up. In the underworld area, as you’re trying to get out, you could hear echoes of Akechi’s memories but the source of the voice (where you see the flashbacks and such, idk what it could be though, maybe something reflective like a mirror or crystals?) being guarded by a powerful shadow. Once you see the flashback, the echoes stop. This happens 3, maybe 4 times. You can't proceed until you see the flashbacks, think Maruki's palace. These flashbacks could be stuff like Akechi finding out his mom died (and blaming himself for it), Shido abandoning Akechi, Akechi awakening his personas, him turning to becoming an assassin. Yeah, dark stuff. When you send the calling card, and are about to sneak in and take the treasure, you’re caught again, and forced to face off against Shadow Akechi. His boss fight, would be like this: After you send the calling card, security in the palace goes way up. You are thrown into the arena by some shadows, you can’t do anything. But then, your opponent is “The legendary hero of Justice, Lord Akechi.” Shadow Akechi recognizes you immediately, and does a little monologue blah blah blah But when the fight starts, he dons golden bird-like wings, and the crowd goes absolutely wild. Everyone cheers his name. Akechi glances up at the crowds, almost judgmentally for a brief moment, before the battle begins. His attacks involve him using misdirection and deception in his tactics, I’m not sure how though But here’s where it gets interesting. As Shadow Akechi is losing the fight, the crowds start laughing at him and mocking him. They immediately changed their views as soon as Akechi made mistakes. They didn’t care about him, they never really did, they just wanted to see him win to entertain the crowd. But then, Akechi does a transformation. He shows his true colors, and has more bird-like features. His wings turn pitch black. He looks terrifying, and much more powerful than before. And the crowd goes from mocking, to *screaming.* Also, you don't take his treasure, but the palace gets destroyed by Akechi's own will. Think of Mishima’s social link (yes I’m using Mishima as an example) where you tell his shadow to go change his own heart and he actually does it, and Mishima stops what he was doing and changes for the better. Would make for some super neat character development, and would work for what he did in Royal where he decides to drop the facade and carve his own path. That could work here too. Also, the will seeds would be called the “Seeds of Treachery” and the ring you get from them would give you the ability “Gladiator’s Tactics”, which gives an automatic charge at the start of the battle and a skill kind of like Marakunda or Masukunda, or, a Tetrakarn + Makarakarn move for one target, but costs a lot of SP. Mini life wall.

What if Marie was a party member and had an awakening after her dungeon?

The only question I have which is not hate I may have misheard, but how throughout the game are you being integrated by Sae if she is dead by then?

I don't think having a Palace and having a Persona are mutually exclusive to each other. Persona 5 states that a person's cognitive world only dissipates after the treasure of desires is stolen from it. Persona 4 is an example of this; each dungeon remains and can be accessed after completing it, even after defeating the head Shadow that rules it. Yukiko, Kanji, Rise, and Naoto each turned their Shadows into Personas, yet because they had no distorted desires to be stolen, their dungeons remained. In Royal, Maruki had a Palace for seemingly a long time, and directly controlled it after he accepted his Shadow self during the convergence of Mementos and Reality, giving him a Persona but keeping the Palace.

I have a feeling that the shadows you defeat in his palace when you hold them up they say things like Please forgive me Great Hero Akechi To challenge the great hero Skechi your more foolish than you look

My only two gripes is that I don't think Akechi having a coliseum would go with him. This is because his Persona is Loki, a Norse god, not a Greek one, and there seems to be some Greek mythical influence here. I think there may be some other settings that could work with Akechi in my opinion. Plus, I liked the addition of Sae's death (spoilers to anyone who hasn't watched it through yet, sorry), but looking at the plot of Strikers and Zenkichi, that will probably be effected in a way. Other than that though, I liked this.

as a romance fanfiction writer who usually makes ocs to be shipped, the way i've found to handle his death is by having him bond with another character who, although she's also a phantom thief, she betrays them in favor of staying by his side due to her own trauma and attachment issues, but she takes it so far that just before akechi *would* die, she overexerts herself and becomes unable to protect herself, meaning if akechi wants to still be on his bullshit, it'll cost her life i recently figured this one out and practically celebrated, because his death has caused a lot of mental torture for me, and it makes me happy to have finally cracked the code outside of that, prior to this and after playing Royal, i would write protagonist angst and self-blame after actually trying to protect akechi, but inevitably watching him die, resulting in nightmares, anxiety, visions and such, everything reminding her of how she made everything worse
