Best lines in this episode, IMO.., 🤔 "Gossip, is something to make me know my own species better." 🙄 "To be 'au fait' with the latest ways of being trifling and silly." 🥴 Although.., 😏 ... Ironically.., "A gossip, separates close friends." 😶 A gentle tongue will rebuke at times, never out of pique, but always for the good of the hearer. Words from a friend pointing out a fault will hurt, but they come from a heart of faithful love. The gentle tongue instructs, speaking wisdom, with words that fit each situation, line apples of gold in a silver setting.

Fancy that. I must confess i didn't know it was Granada, one learn's something new everyday, it's just these old classic's normally are BBC made, but there are a few that aren't, normally Thomas Hardy production's that were made by ITV/Granada, thanks for that. Agree, Anne Eliot looks fine in that green dress, shame we lost our good taste in attire over the last 200 years.

OH BROTHER!!! Its obvious Lady Dalrymple doesn't care about them!! SO why bother?! As usual; Anne tries to tell them; but they don't listen to her EVER!!!!!!!!

I think that they made a mistake with Anne here. It is out of character to be so rude when talking about her rich noble cousins. Even if her father and sister only want to reconcile because of their title, they are family, and to agree with a reconciliation would be more in line with Anne's generous character than her rudeness. They got that wrong and the father and the sister come on top there...
