Here's my review of Person Irish Oak (now called Irish Cask) pipe tobacco. This is a VaPer containing Virginias from Brazil and Africa with Perique and some Cavendish.

Thanks so much for taking my suggestion! I followed along with my own tin while you were describing it. I definitely go the grass and hay notes, but not the others. My nose isn't all that sensitive, though. Thanks again!

I didn't either until i opened it. :-) I had it sitting on my shelf for almost 2 years when I was just buying stuff to review. Someone asked for me to review it a couple weeks ago... so i took it down and was like "oh, i should have tried to way before now." i thought it was an aro of some kind for some reason.

I tried it a few times but it is just not my first joice. I liked it better smoked with a filter though. Thanks for the review. I heard lately that this tobacco is not produced anymore. Like many other Peterson tobaccos.

The Peterson tobaccos are going to be made by STG the switch over is just taking some time but they've said that they'll continue all of the Peterson blends.

Do you have any reccomendations on smoking while doing outdoor activities like fishing?

For tobaccos I just smoke my usually go tos which are mostly latakia based blends, as far as pipes anything light weight and bent pipes that are easy to clinch.

When I do outdoor stuff, I usually use pipes I'm not as attached to, just in case I drop them or lose them or something else happens. I don't have any that are particularly valuable, but there are some I like more than others.

I think Peterson simply changed the name from Oak to Cask. I don't detect any difference between the two. The ladies love the room note! Good stuff.

if you're in the US smokingpipes.com for pipe tobacco. Marscigars.com as well. for tea they're china based but ship worldwide. Yunnansourcing.com and dragonteahouse.biz shipping takes some time but they both huge selections of Puer teas and both have a really good selection of fresh teas. Yunnan Sourcing's fresh teas have been excellent over the past couple years. Spring harvest starts in about 2 months for the early spring teas.
