* There is a copyright claim on this video. However, the holder of the Morrison material and Rhino Records have allowed its use and it has been cleared by You Tube. This audio examination IS NOT a strike. The Capitol-owned Phantom material is also cleared.
However, if there is an issue with this upload, please leave a message in the comments section and it can be removed, if needed.
It is to be noted that there is an overabundance of full album and individual tracks uploaded from "Phantom's Divine Comedy: Part 1" that are cleared, as well as of the Doors and Jim Morrison ephemera (including images), without incident. *
THE COMPARISON
So, was Jim the Phantom? Or was their a "Phantom" . . . who replaced Jim Morrison in the Doors? No, of course not!
But hear it and judge for yourself with this mix of The Phantom with "Merlin" from "Phantom's Divine Comedy Part 1" cross-faded with "Blue Sunday" by the Doors from "Morrison Hotel." Now you can see what all the hoopla was about in 1974 when the Phantom, appeared out of nowhere (but really from Detroit).
