In this video, I'm sharing his experience of working as a pharmacovigilance after MBBS
After taking the Hippocratic Oath as a Doctor, the phrase "First Do Not Harm" has always constantly struck my mind. After working in the Emergency Rooms treating and saving lives, I realised that I should probably move to a field where I can contribute in saving millions of lives at my own capacity which would definitely be more than what I can do as an ER Physician. This thought has in fact changed my life and career for the better.
Big Decision: I have chosen Pharmacovigilance as my career option.
he has started working as a Drug Safety Physician holding a mandate to perform medical review of ICSRs and Literatures. The only way to do great work is to love what you do (- Steve Jobs), I started loving what I did, which helped me to work throughout the spectrum of Pharmacovigilance. From ICSRs, Signal Management, Medical Risk Assessments, Aggregate Reports, RMPs/RMMs, REMS, SDEAs till working as a client engagement manager role , PV Trainer and PV Speaker, it has been a wonderful journey and learning. In PV learning doesn't END!, yes, he strongly believe this and am fortunate to learn something new everyday.
He is always passionate about integrating technology into Pharmacovigilance and have also been lucky to work in implementing AI PV Tools and be part of the development. Have also trained PV Professionals on the AI Case Processing tool. And Yay! this is when he has learnt about computer system validation and documentation. Have performed UATs and scripts for PQ.
Over the years apart from growing strong in Pharmacovigilance space, have also learned to work with empathy, exposed to multiple cultures through global working exposure, trained as a leader and a problem solver. I strongly believe that Knowledge has beginning but no end- have been invited as a speaker to speak on different topics of PV in various local and global forums.
Snippets of my experiences:
1. End-End PV activities experience.
2. Response to RFP/RFIs and bring new business (have helped a company to get 1M $ Business in PV).
3. Key role in development of PV Automation tool from the scratch till execution, now it is used by Top 5 Pharma company for case processing.
4. Been part of Deloitte's ConvergeHEALTH Safety's PQ and training to a Top pharma company.
5. PV Training to more than 500+ Participants.
6. Speaker to 10+ Webinars and Conferences.
7. Setup a complete PV blueprint for a New Pharma company.
