It’s a 1967 model year.. Mfr year ‘66

If its a J it is 66 model, looks nice but ancient radios make it priced too high

@@Pilotc180 mfr year is ‘66 but just like cars the mfr year typically precedes “model year”.. and the radios weren’t really part of the restoration.. prices are just tracking with restoration costs/parts availability, labor costs etc.. the aircraft was expensive BEFORE the restoration haha, then add in the custom interior, fresh paint, and the restoration itself it’s right on the price point.

An older Hispanic gentleman has a shop in Pittsburgh, his name is Jesus Mireles, he’s right on the main drag thru town I can’t remember his business name but he’s probably about to retire tho due to poor health 😢this is probably the last aircraft interior for him

@@fozjared aww ok. I have a time capsule Cardinal in Dallas. I’d really like to update the interior on a budget. My A&P suggested finding an automotive shop to get quotes as long as the materials are appropriate. Thanks for the info!

Hate to hear that he’s about to retire, I’m 20 minutes from Pittsburg with a 182 that needs a new interior as well. that one looks great! My 182 is a 60 model, fastback with the manual flaps, which I absolutely love, but I also like the mid 60s vintage ones that are roomier on the inside, I may trade back up to one of those one day soon. I got my license in a 66J model and also flew 68L model for a few years, great airplanes!
