@Gavin MacNeish I do agree. I met Phil in a stairwell when I was practising a tune on the fiddle and he hummed along and told me to stick in. I was doing a celtic connections fiddle class with Alastair Fraser. A few encouraging words from Phil was gold to me. I met Eddie Reader in my opticians in Gt Western Rd (hers too apparently) and I tried to engage her in conversation. No chance! Amazing the difference. I love Phil and player and man. I love Eddie as performet but ...
