In this video I go and check out one of the local barbers in Lahore Pakistan in the old Anarkali area. They were so nice to me even though we couldn’t communicate that easily I thought I’d reward the guys for doing such a great job.

Very skilled, honest and polite barber…they couldn’t express their emotions due to the language barrier yet this video speaks for itself…barbers called 2 local nerds from nextdoor just to find out your channels name, I love the way you have rewarded them by paying $17.xx and poor they kept saying “change, change” and you respectfully said “gift” very emotional last part of this video…love and respect from Indian 🇮🇳 Muslims ❤

The smile on the barbers face, as he was unable to speak english fluently, just spoke alot in the form of human interaction. The dude was genuinely happy that he made you happy.

Hey Sue - he’s got Scottish nationality but I think he would identify as Pakistani as well. It’s like joe bidan would say he’s Irish American. It’s possible to be two things at the same time.

That wasn't ice he was rubbing on your face after the shave, it is potassium alum, it is used by barbers to sooth the skin after shaving and avoid razor burn

Hey bud! Glad to have you in Pakistan. Hope you enjoy your stay here. That ice thing was actually Alum, commonly known as “phitkari” which is used as a disinfectant and is available in most barber shops in Pakistan. It's completely safe to use it on a cut.

That was Alum, an alluminium alkali, a natural aftershave you can say. Helps as an antiseptic too.

Phillip never get your shave done at barbar shop. Their kits are not sterilised and they use one blade for multiple face. I got skin fungus because of them. What he was applying on your face was not ice but an traditional natural antiseptic called phatkari
