I show how I fixed my Phillips Norelco Beard Trimmer, Model QT4070. So glad I was able to fix it. By far the best beard trimmer I've ever had.

I’ve owned this device for 13+ years and had no idea the cutter popped off like that. It was GROSS under there. Amazing how well it worked once I cleaned it out. Thanks!

I'm still using mine. I believe mine is around 13 also

And yet another… I thought my battery was dead after owning this for about ten years. First, it would only work with the cord plugged in, and then it stopped working altogether. I looked on the Web to buy something like it, but there was nothing that had these features. I thought I was coming to KZfaq to learn how to replace the battery, but as I watched you, I realized that it probably just needed service and lubrication. Sure enough, the motor itself turned freely on battery. It was the blade assembly that was gunked up and needed cleaning and oiling. Now, it’s working again perfectly! (…except for the same broken hair reservoir cover you mentioned… I use a small rubber band). Anyway, thanks for posting this. You saved me from buying something I wouldn’t have liked as much. Also, now I know to clean and oil it every so often. (Edited a few typos.)

Sweet! I'm still using it. I'll have to switch to a rubber band, instead of tape. I've only cleaned it that 1 time for this video. I can tell it's due another one.

Thank you so much for posting this!!! All I had to do was take the part off where the motor spins - and there was a TON of hair in there. Cleaned it out, and now it's running like the day I bought it. You're the man!

Fixed mine by lightly twisting motor spline with pliers to break any hairs that were jamming it. After that I dabbed some motor oil on the spline and let it work itself into motor. Trimmer is good to go! Thanks for the video.

I have the Norelco Hairclipper HC7452. The motor runs, but the blade does not move. I took it apart and found that the offset fitting for the end of the shaft was loose. How can I reattach the offset? Can I just glue it to the shaft?
@becausestuffbreaks4 жыл бұрын
I would assume it's glued or epoxy. I don't know what you should use.

Thanks for the video, you steered me in the right direction. However by chance did you notice a ball-bearing and spring when you separated the fan from the control board? I heard the bearing drop I just can't figure out from where. And apparently a spring because it wasn't on the table when I started. Unfortunately Ask Jeeves has been Zero help, lol, nah Google's been no help. Thanks again either way 👍.

Well, I need to take it apart again and when I do, I'll make a video and comment here. From what I can remember, I didn't see one.

@@becausestuffbreaks WOW that's a fast response, you're awesome. After 3 days of *@$#ing with it and before throwing it against the ? I reach out for assistance and wouldn't you know less than two minutes of asking I figured out where they go. There's a small hole which is hidden by the adjustment knob. It's front and center assisting the movement along the track. If that makes any sense. 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ Thanks again.

@@becausestuffbreaks I found that it would hold less and less charge. Now it just doesn't charge and the battery is only at 1.5v. The battery seems to be soldered in and I'm struggling to get it out without destroying the thing haha.

I only need the blade part but they charge like 20 dollars for it alone. A full new unit is like 50 so its not worth it. The new model is crap from the reviews tho.
