Yep. She might not have been "rich" a couple of years ago but since re-signing and RENEGOTIATING her multi-show, multi-year contract with WoW, the publisher's advance for her and Katya's second book and her 1 million plus subscribers on YT where she shills her cheaply made but highly profitable make-up? She is getting close to breaching $10 million in income and assets, which makes her skip past "rich" status and go straight to wealthy. At this point, her savings and investment portfolio is capable of netting her $250,000-350,000 a year, all by itself. She worked hard for it though so good for her! Also, she believes in an equitable tax rate, so she is still one of the people :)

The phlebotomy conversation has me rolling. Trixie, people absolutely do blow through the back end of your vein. If they pull back a little bit, blood will flow freely. You don't even know it's happened the vast majority of the time. As you draw, you get a feel for "Okay, this resistance means I'm through the skin, and that resistance means I'm in a vein." It is absolutely a skill, and good phlebotomists are worth their weight in gold. And Katya's vasculature? Not always a good thing. Very easy to blow through the back end because the veins are so superficial. You also don't bleed when you nick through a vein very much because the body (under "normal" conditions), starts to form a clot almost immediately. Now, nick an artery? That's a different story, given the pressure behind those. But you're not going to draw from an artery unless you have no other choice/it's medically called for. And not just anyone would draw those specimens anyway. But I do agree with Katya: having an IV set is the worst. I don't mind getting my blood drawn, and my veins are horrible, but knowing there's a lil tube in my vein is so unsettling.

15:45 on the subject of being a bald woman, I shaved my hair for a charity event several years ago and it is so real that society is normalized to the sight of a bald man, not a woman. I had strangers asking me if I had cancer, asking if they could pray for me, and when I wore a scarf around my head and neck for warmth I even had a client ask me “what’s going on, you turnin’ Muslim?” Not to mention being a small woman makes it a million times worse, everyone thinks they’re just entitled to touch me for no reason on a normal basis but when I was bald and starting to regrow hair, I became borderline violent with some people. It HURT my scalp whenever anyone touched my head or if my super short hair was moved, I had no idea how sensitive my scalp was until my hair was gone.

I had stage three cancer at 7 years old and the biggest most traumatic thing I still vividly remember was losing my hair. It’s such an intense and crazy experience!! I was also a child so it wasn’t for vanity or because I cared what others would think, it was like this internal knowing I had that I “needed” and loved my hair. I would spend houuurs playing dress up and doing my hair so it killed me
