I was 18 at this show. I still think about it daily. It effected my life so much that I named my two son's Anastasio and Page. I will forever be grateful for Phish being the soundtrack for my life.

God, this takes me back. I was 32 at this gig, drove down in my VW bus (RIP Prudence) from Rochester, NY for the Millennium NYE in a swamp in the middle of Florida. Mind-bending performance that morning along with 4 other sets of superlative Phish. Blessed to have been there, what little I remember. Cheers!

This is in my opinion what dreams are made of. I will never forget this experience. I think upon this weekend everyday and have goosebumps watching these videos on here and on other websites. Thanks Shaf and every Phan who has done a part in keeping the music alive by posting these Videos. Big Cypress was the best time of my life and im sure im not the only one who wants them back together

awesome clip from the charlie rose interview. when i rewatched that part of the interview, treys description of big cypress and walking off stage mae me understand why they broke up. too bad i was 11 when they played cuz i would have loved to be there. cant wait for this whole dvd to come out...still waiting on the live release of the dvd from the boys at JEMP.

Would love to see a Phish and Umphreys show now a days... UM is getting so good, it be great to hear and see them split a show.

Man I was one of the 70 thoul that got to take in the big cypress show! I still have the campground map and tix! So glad to have been a part of that experience! All i got to say is I was part of the Harpua cry around 5 am new years day, don't remember hearing it tho.

How does Charlie Rose get what I can’t explain to my friends and family? 😂 I drove from Minneapolis to Big Cypress w/ four other people in a Honda, and it was the greatest ever.

My first show was Deercreek ‘96' and bc we didn't know any better, all the good campgrounds were full by the time we got there. So we got stuck at the giant open lot that literally had no shade. Lol. I got so sunburned that I had to leave the show early the 1st night once the sun went down bc I was freezing and felt all fucked up. Probably was mostly dehydration. I remember people outside the show were so pissed at me for essentially wasting a ticket to a sold out show..... I left during Antelope, so I missed four more songs. Even though all that happened, I was still instantly hooked with their music after seeing them live. I didn't dislike them or anything, prior to that, but I wasn't a true believer until I got to see them live and experience something that is hard to put into words for me. People who have experienced it know what I'm talking about.

Machu Pichu is amazing!! Been there 5 times... one of the advantages of living in Peru. Disadvantage: long way to travel for Hampton... totally worth it though!

Do you think they'll really tour again? That'd be freakin' amazing, I'm only thirteen, but Phish is one of my most favorite bands, they're just incredible. The emotion behind it, especially their live performances. Too bad I was never old enough to go to one, it really sucks! I want SO terribly bad to see them live, and witness something truly magnificent. IT was awesome, obviously Big Cypress was amazing, and Lemonwheel was a flat out trip carnival. Does anybody know if they'll really tour?

I disagree, Music will never die no matter what is "popular" There is a lot of great music out there but find like the beatles or phish are obviously rare but they will keep coming along. People haven't completely lost their sense of originality, music changes when someone original tries something new.

guys im reaching out for some reassurance...Seeing as trey was arrested again in january and if and when he graduates his program he will be sentenced to 5 years of probation...does that mean he stillc an't leave the state or tour? saw phish in cincy 09 both nights......have seen multiple shows since i saw my first show in cincy at music hall in 94 (the show where the fire alarms went off), and to anybody who reads this....from 02-04 things were shaky on tour and at the shows at best. Phish has now returned reborn playing as tight as ever, reminiscent (sic?) of the fall 97 which in my opinion were some of the best shows ever. Phish is back bitches, but mind you its hard as ever to get tix, cincy sold out in under 5 min.

really though imagine playing cypress and then trying to top that show i think theyre shows got so big in the late 90s that no one, not even phish, could live up to it anymore thats probably why their music went horribly downhill in the 2000's but not 2009 because theyre back....
