Photography and motorcycling are a perfect combination. Photographers are explorers of light, composition, place and possibility. Riding a motorcycle is my happy place so let me show you a bit of the New Forest, shoot some photos and share my thoughts about light, composition and camera settings.

Terrific video Mike! You've done them in the past, so it's nice to see this style again. This is the kind of instruction that helps folks find pictures in their own area. People don't need to go to exotic areas to get great pictures.

This is probably one of the best photogaphy vlog video I've watched here in youtube in a while. Because this is about getting out there and getting the right picture. Thanks Mike. I strongly suggest you do more of these because I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I dont think there has been a video done in this format. Its pretty cool! Also somewhere around 2011 i think i started following you and I have been here ever since just being your student all the way. I sincerly have to thank you for teaching me through youtube here. I always felt inspired and very cozy for some reason watching all your videos. Cheers!

I've been neglecting my photography hobby (EOS90, various lenses, filters and other gear) for years already and only recently discovered a strong desire to ride motorcycles (I immediately completed the license extenstion and bought me a sports tourer ;) ). Very enjoyable 24 minutes and 15 seconds, Mike! What is obviously missing from my camera gear is a motorbike, I shall make enquiries. - This was nearly as good as being there myself, a guided tour with history and photography lessons thrown in. And you showed the importance of wearing sturdy trousers. - Thank you for putting this together, and as you said: "Let's do this again, soon!" 🙃

The little house at the start definitely has a nicer photographic path leading to it from the side of the 2nd photo and would also work with afternoon sun hitting it, and I'd say far better than the morning sun did in the first photo from the boring path side so it's a win win to be there to get an image like you did looking into it with sunburst or if like me prefer the late afternoon sun

If only you got to that little house earlier, I think a lower sun with mist hovering over the water would had made it a fantastic shot. Thanks for this video, though I really enjoyed it. You do realize that to an American like myself, although these houses are very beautiful and idyllic, they also evoke another reaction. Pretty much every British horror film we've seen from the past 75 years has taken place either in a quaint rural home similar to these, or large manor. Owing to this, when we see these little villages, we're thinking "Ah, how beautiful - probably haunted, though... Those are the kind of windows faces look in at..."
