Comedy Legend, Phyllis Diller in 2006, at the age of 89, in an interview with the Comedy Hall of Fame. Miss Diller talks about her early days in comedy, how she got started, and what it was like. Shown here at early 90 years old she is still sharp as a tack.

You achieved the legacy. You were someone who took our cares/worries away, if only for a moment. Thank You Phyllis!

One of the greatest comedy legends of our time. She invented herself right before our eye's.

14:30 "Most comics are held back by lack of material, and that's when they fall into the use of dirty words or shock words because they know they'll get a cheap laugh, but it isn't a real laugh. You need to go for laughs from your material...Don't show off; entertain." So well said. Profanity is a cop-out, a crutch for comics who know they're not as funny as they should be. The shock factor of trash-mouth, low-brow comedy doesn't last long before the audience sees the material can't stand on its own without the profanity, and then it begins to fall flat.

Yes, both of them. Sherwood in 1965 and Warde in 1975.
