Would you believe that I once attended the San Diego Symphony, and Phyllis Diller was on the program?? She walked onstage and everyone howled with laughter, expecting a comedy act. She sat at the Steinway Concert Grand and played a Mozart concerto, and every single person was stunned. She was an accomplished concert pianist, a fact that most people don’t know.

It says on her Wikipedia page that she was a very talented pianist.

She totally was trained in piano for a career in that vein. But something happened and she found another way...

Wow! I never knew that. Must’ve been quite a delight to see her play!😁

The way she sat down at the harpsichord and dove into that Bach, she could have had a brilliant concert career, boa and all.

Granted....she was very talented and a door-opener for female comediennes....but what is sad to me is that in this interview nor very few others that I know of....does she ever mention her children....her family.

I know that Phyllis was an Ohio housewife with kids before her comedy career, but I was wondering: is it just Phyllis- and maybe a servant or two- rattling through all these rooms and corridors and grounds? Where is everybody?
