Peak Luis Suarez was different class. He'd blow you away every game he played that season he came back from the ban. People never talk about it but even his passing was outrageous. And he'd literally do anything to win the match.

I am an Arsenal fan. Have always been since 2006. But peak Luis Suarez. He was so mesmerizing that I'd stay up late at night just to watch Liverpool play. It was breathtaking. You had to see it to believe it.

Peak Luis Suarez was insane..it was not just the goals, his overall contribution, playing in a weak liverpool team that created very little. Overall maybe cause of the longevity and insane goals per ratio you might be tempted for aguero but peak suarez was something else.

@@eeja1743 Atm Mo Salah peaked in 17/18 while scoring 32 and assisting 10 in 3 in 36 games. Luis Suarez scored 31 and assisted 17 in 33 games in 13/14. I know it's more than about stats, but Luis Suarez did that in quite poor team while Mo had an ok team. I'm not taking anything away from Mo's incredible 17/18 season, but that 13/14 season by Luis was absolutely insane (Besides Luis Suarez peaked in 15/16)

13/14 Suarez was the best season I saw a striker having in Prem . The numbers he got with that Liverpool side that was quite mediocre to be honest even after missing 4 games at the start of the season.

Absolutely...and it's also the type of goals he scored, he scored from the half way line, he scored volleys from out of the box (remember Norwich), he scored unreal header, he scored from free kicks, he scored stopping the ball with his shoulder. Man could score like he could bite.

I am a die-hard Arsenal fan, and Henry is my favourite player ever. Also, as an African, I have no love for Suarez due to his handball against Ghana. HOWEVER, peak Suarez in Liverpool was absolutely jaw-dropping. One of the best individual seasons in English football history.

People forget that Suarez was still suspended for 6 games at start of 2013/2014 season when LFC lost title to City. In spite of that, Suarez still got 31 goals and Golden Boot.

Aguero was amazing and also crazy consistent (not even sure what people would really consider his 'peak' to be) but Suarez was a different level for a couple years after 2013. Definitely up there for best striker of this era

Ntm Sergio got injured nearly every year, if bit he'd have even more goals. He wasn't brilliant to watch, as in entertaining like Henry, bit putting the ball in the back of the net, ridiculous, you'd want him on your team

Not the best goals to mins ever, 2965 mins/31 goals = goal every 95.6 mins Aguero in 13/14 played 1538 mins/17 goals = goal every 90.4 mins Aguero in 17/18 played 1969 mins/21 goals = goal every 93.7 mins Aguero in 19/20 played 1456 mins/16 goals = goal every 91 mins Problem with Aguero is that he was always playing in and out of injuries, making it way harder for him, he averaged throughout his prem career a goal every 108 mins (by far the best) if he played every minute of a season he would average a 32 goals a season, maybe even better if he wasn't playing in pain

Micah went Gerrard, surprised at that but he’s actually been fair and not biased. Love that. Gerrard was the player I wanted to be like as a kid and I’m pretty sure most of us did too. I’m not a Liverpool either - saints fan for my sins 😂😭

The only scenario in which Nunez is better than Haaland is if Haalands injury issues he had last season persist on a long term basis. Lets be honest he's great but he did have 8 injuries in less than 2 years for Dortmund and missed 28 games because of it.

Given the record of purchases by Klopp and his staff I certainly wouldn't assume Haaland will definitely do better than Nunez. Remember Salah, Mane, Allison, Diaz, Jota, van Dijk........ In each case people were saying they paid far too much etc etc then within weeks 'what a bargain he was'! No doubting Haaland is a very good player but it's always possible that both will struggle at first in the Premier League. But we'll soon see.

Van Dijk vs Kompany. That's a hard one. I genuinely think if I had to have one of them in my team it would be Van Dijk but Kompany brings more passion. I think Kompany makes a better leader/captain but fortunately for the Lfc squad they have a lot of players capable of being leaders.

Suarez is the only player to become a goalscorer for La Liga and twice for Europe during Messi and Cristiano prime era. That just speaks volumes about his class. No other forward has done that in the last decade.

#11 - Haaland... At the moment... Will be interesting to see what happens throughout the season considering Haaland's injury record and Klopp's (and his team's) ability to create world-class players out of seemingly average and/or unproven ones. Will no-doubt be a good season for the neutrals.

Suarez didn’t stay in the premier league long enough to be put with agueros achievements but his peak for a couple years was crazy and did have the potential to be better but aguero was crazy crazy consistent for 10 years if aguero didn’t get injuries a lot he’d of broken shearers record he’s still got the best goal to game ratio for a forward over 100 games

As someone who started watching football around 2008 I think peak Luis Suárez is definitely the best Centre Forward I've ever seen. Agüero may have had the bigger PL legacy but that's because he played in a much more successful team plus he stayed longer in the league.

I don’t understand this Nunez hype. He has had 1 good season in The Portuguese top flight. The rest of the time he was just an average young striker. So did Liverpool really buy him off of 1 good season in portugal? Crazy business if you ask me. He might come good. But it’s a massive risk to spend that much money on someone who has only played 2 seasons in the Portuguese top flight and only had 1 good season in it.

Nunes has been the best so far 4 goals in one game. OK one was a penalty but not many players or strikers score 4 in a game. And he scored again today. As a Liverpool fan. Man city are a unbelievable side. Both sides tend to play 4 3 3. I think man city front 3 lack pace now specifically with harland up top. And Jack grelish. I think you need someone with pace like sterling on one side and say someone like diaz or salah on the other side. But hay I don't watch city that's just what I seen today. I think nunes looks a real player. I think he will score more than harland this season hopefully. 😊
