Hi garden friends! I'm Laura. My garden is my home "office" I've worked hard to create a productive small suburban sized garden for my family, wildlife, and pollinators to enjoy. I garden in Southern New Jersey zone 7b - 8, just about 10 minute drive from Philadelphia. I hope this video inspires you!

Everything is so beautiful Laura! My garden has suffered so many setbacks this season, so I’m praying for the cooler weather in Fall when I can replace the many plants I have lost. It was so beautiful this Spring, so I’m hopeful we can get there again. You keep me inspired, thank you my friend.

Pergola is a great idea. I like the contrast of the natural wood against the white and green. Looks rich. The phlox looks like coral creme drop. I have several and I just love them. Phlox Nicky is also gorgeous.

I have had a tough year in the garden- specifically in my vegetable garden. It's pretty disappointing as like you, my happy place is my yard. This video helped me put things in perspective and really was a mood lifter. Thanks:)

I loved the little tour of your wonderful garden. The slugs got to town on my dahlias (acutally all my plants). But the first ones started blooming anyway. I´m so happy! Have a nice weekend.

I use the same copper plant labels in my garden. Being quite a bit older than you, I know that some day there will be a new family in our home. I want for them to be able to know the plants and bulb placement. Hopefully they will love gardening as much as I do. Meanwhile I am going to garden for as long as I can. - stress therapy. Your garden remains my dream garden. ❣

Laura, I so admired your agapanthus that I searched them out in my local nurseries and found one that ordered some in for me. They are my favorite flowers and definitely work horses. I live in Michigan, so I'm not sure they would winter over, so planning to store them.

love the pergola idea! beautiful garden! hydrangeas have done so good this year! Cant wait to see the Dahlias along the picket fence. I love that cone planter hanging basket thing! Ive said this before i love your style. What is up with the Zinnias this year, mine where later to bloom too and they are so much shorter this year than normal. Everything looks great!

Your garden has really changed so much since I started watching your videos. Always such a fun process to see. It really looks so lovely! Your paver pathway looks like it was always meant to be there. Looks great and would feel good in bare feet!! Looking forward to seeing your Floret zinnias. Thanks so much!! I got that from Plow & Hearth a few years ago. It was called the “pot trellis” I don’t think they carry it still. I’ve been searching high and low for another one. If I find one, I’ll share on here!!

Thank you! Just decoration for me. Several years ago I saw it on Gardeners World and copied the style. Monty Don used it to hold up bird netting. It can be used on shorter stakes so you don’t poke your eye while gardening. And some use it to catch earwigs. You’d fill with shredded paper or straw, they crawl inside and you dispose of them.
