I’m in my early 20s and have been depressed for a while. In my darkest moments I think of what my mom and my family and my friends would go through if I were to take my life, and that always has me living another day. I’m thankful I found this podcast ❤

This story breaks my heart for this father and his family. So many young people pick a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I'm praying for you sir, and your family. Please don't continue to blame yourself, and think you weren't good enough. Your video interview here will touch many many lives I believe.

This one hit me hard. I almost commented 8 minutes in but I held back because I was crying. But this father could have been describing my son. He is 15 going on 16 he will be 16 in December. Down to the fact that we have a bearded dragon. And it's not our first. His dad who I co-parent with but we have been divorced for 15 years. No issues with the co-parenting he's an amazing father the best father ever I am not just saying that, he really really is, I could not do this without him. He's a police officer. They haven't started hunting yet but his Dad retires in a couple months and they're moving to the mountains and they're looking forward to starting hunting together. Oh I'm going to cry. Been in therapy myself as longas I can remember at least since I was six or seven. And I don't ever want to project upon my son or anyone. He's a lot like me and I'm a very different type of person and I worry.

When he spoke about the loss of a child is something Satan can use to cause many negative feelings and frustrations to torture you, brought to my mind how Satan used the loss of Jobs children to break his faith. So not only is it a tool he uses, it's one of the most effective tool he uses. I am so sorry for your loss of Chase.

Camille does not seem to be very empathetic towards the interviewees. I wish she would show some empathy and offer kind words and / or comfort like saying "I'm so sorry" or "you know it's not your fault". When Camille was interviewed, her interviewer was so kind and had her feelings into account every moment. Camille just sits there straight faced without any compassion showing on her face, thru her body language, or in any words of condolences. I just want to reach thru the camera and hug them all. Blake does a much better job showing empathy. Camille needs to be more aware and not just sit there, or move off camera and let Blake do the entire interview.

Camille is still grieving herself. Maybe show some empathy and compassion towards her. Also, some people don't want to be constantly comforted and reassured, maybe she's reading the people she's interviewing.

@@LostChildPodcastI appreciate your acceptance of this criticism, although I do think they could have made their point in less words and kinder words. There were moments when the camera would pan to you two frequently and the non response or non reaction seemed distracting from the guests story. But I realize my own thoughts distracting me from their story was no fault of your own, I just found that it was hard to pay attention at times because of the frequent camera switching

Sheenabroek6678 I appreciate your comment and feedback. Please know that I am the man in this interview. My name is Craig. I understand your perspective that there are times that Camille may not have responded the way you think she should have. Please know that this entire topic is uncomfortable and I feel it is very difficult for anyone to understand how I feel about the loss of my son Chase. Just as it is very difficult for me to understand Camille’s situation and for me to empathize with her and with Blake. I love Blake and Camille and I love that they have the courage to do these interviews. I hope that we all grant grace and love to each other. I hope God blesses all of us with more love and understanding for each other.

I’m sorry that you felt Camille was inappropriate in the interview. I didn’t feel that. I’m Craig the guy being interviewed. I know the subject mater of this podcast is difficult and awkward and therefore may not always translate to video and audio the best. The reason I did the podcast was to give others a glimpse into what my experience was with Chase’s death and trying to put my life back together. I hope that my experience will help others. Also, Blake and Camille do a wonderful job with the podcast and try to handle sensitive topics in a relaxed and loving manner. I love Blake and Camille very much and they have helped my family out a lot over the past 4 years. They are also still trying to recover from the loss of their own child. Thank you for listening and God bless.

@@craigkurtzeborn9381pls u understand it’s not your fault , it’s not your fault! I’ve suffered with major depressive disorder since I was also 16, unfortunately 18 years later and previous suicide attempts I’m still struggling with major depressive disorder. The only reason I’m still here now is because a few years back , I made a promise to anyone that has taken their lives before that I’m going to continue to live for them. I know their pain. Don’t ever blame yourself , there is nothing you could have done to prevent it, it’s horrible to say that nothing can prevent it , but it’s true unfortunately. 18 years and nothing has helped me so far . Only recently I’ve been told I could have actually had misdiagnosed adhd all this time and I’m going to get tested for it this Wednesday, please pray for me that it is adhd as if it is , I can finally find the right medication for me and I’ll hopefully be cured 😊 I hope you and your family are feeling better these days & I hope your beautiful son Chase is with God and in peace
