PICKUPMUSIC in Vice City. What did the developers want to create?

Жыл бұрынProbably many GTA researchers found in the game files Vice City: pickupmusic.dff but did not understand for what purpose the developers needed to create this pickup.
It is most logical 🤔 to assume that when picking up this musicpickup, headphones appear on the character and the player can turn on the radio or mp3 to listen to music while walking around the city for some time. In this video, I show my guess, how it could work in the game. But it's not really working pickup. I prepared almost everything for its creation. I just have to learn how to write cleoscripts or find a person who could write a script for working pickups 😅

It would have been cool to have it, I wouldn't stay in a car for 5 minutes waiting for the song to finish to start the mission 😂

I think the VC beta version was more ambitious than the game itself was, I mean, the pick up headphones, the Air Reserve inspired on Top Gun movie, most of vehicles in beta version were shown on Miami Vice series

Also, there was supposed to be a guard blocking the gate which leads to Vercetti(Diaz) mansion. The guard would tell him to not cross it and the gate is closed. But after doing missions for Diaz, the guard would open the gate for us. It was an interesting thing but Rockstar cut it due to limitations and they completely forgot about it after they released it on powerful PC.

Love it! GTA lll had this on a pedestrian listening to headphones if you walked by him or ran by him it would sound like little edm instrumental music on loop. I always thought they missed their chance by not implementing a headphones pick up or being able to buy it.

And the camera icon? I think they used that in the in-game cutscenes. Like the camera at the stunt jumps, or the non green screen cutscenes.

Also I follow you on gta forums so I hope in time you can upload this to liberty city mods and we can download this to use. For better effect if you can figure out how, try to place a pick up in the north point mall and have it mimics buying it when you run up to it like buying the slow motion drug at the drug stores. It gives the music shop a use and makes it more legit. I will try to learn how to write Cleo scripts and give this a try

Я их не делала)) я их сперла из амунации в Даунтауне, лежат на стойке откуда стреляют 😅 и перекрасила в синий 😁

No it's legit vice city with San Andreas style pedestrians. You can implement even GTA V style peds into GTA VC or others.
