Im a huge Mirfanda but honestly, I can see why people have concluded that Miranda isn't funny based on her performance in this. I'm sure some people just don't find her amusing (which is understandable, I mean I don't find Jimmy's character on Ew amusing at all but to each their own), but I think for a majority it had to do with how out of place she was as a character comedian in a non character setting. I mean not even I thought she was all that funny in this. She doesn't belong up there; she belongs on a character skit like Ew, where the audience would have already known she was acting and not just some odd woman child. She would've been perfect for Ew. This was just terrible planning on the parts of everyone involved in this decision.

Miranda Sings is a CHARACTER for you who don't know. Her name is Colleen Ballinger and she is hilarious. I know Miranda is what she is known for but it would really be amazing to see her, Colleen up there. But all that aside, I am a huge supporter of her and I think she did a great job for her first time on a show like this.

Okay, for everyone saying she "ruined" the segment: She was Miranda on the show because the Tonight Show wanted Miranda. She butchered her drawings because the Tonight Show told her to butcher her drawings. She didn't guess right because the Tonight Show told her not to. Everything is set up, everything is planned. She did not "take it too far" or "ruin" anything. She played her character like she always does and followed instructions. This is how it was supposed to play out: the way it went was in no way Miranda's fault.

It really sucks reading all of these comments. Colleen (Miranda) is probably the sweetest person you can find on youtube and all she ever wants is to make others happy. She said herself she was nervous for this because she knew her character is hard to interpret. All Colleen ever does is work hard and she may pursue something you don't understand, but she made it on the TONIGHT SHOW. thats pretty amazing. If you have bad things to say, thats too bad. Colleen, many people support you and believe in yourself that you are amazing and so funny!

As an avid Miranda watcher I can attest to the fact that she is hilarious. It took me a while to understand her character. 5 to 10 videos maybe. It's an acquired taste and a distinct humor. This was definitely not the best way to introduce her to the world, but when Jerry Seinfeld believes you are genuinely funny, and invites you to join him on The Tonight Show, you don't say no. She was invited to be in character. Her real life self is a sweet, funny, extremely talented girl. The act isn't suited for television, but he believed she deserves the exposure. He talked about her on The Late Show with David Letterman. Then had her on his show, then invited her to be on The Tonight Show. If you believe Jerry is funny, but can't see what he thinks is funny, maybe you should look into it before you critique based on one bit. And yes, she is a KZfaq sensation. KZfaq is a HUGE place. Just because she's not from your mainstream neck of the woods doesn't mean she's not famous. She sells out on her world tours every year. This was a great moment for her and the fans that love her. It's not hurting you, so don't worry about it. Praise Jimmy and Jerry for appreciating all sorts of comedy.

It should be clarified that the *character* Miranda was invited on the show by Jerry, not Colleen herself. She knew going into it that a lot of people wouldn't understand her character and that's fine. Even I was pretty iffy about it when I first found her channel but when you understand the development of the character and how Miranda came to be, it's SO much funnier. There definitely should have been a more in depth introduction of Miranda AND Colleen but it is what it is. Colleen was wonderful and deserves nothing but respect.

Colleen is kind of amazing for this. The courage it must have taken to present Miranda to a crowd that has no idea what she's about, in television, in the presence of comedy greats. Wow.

honestly I can understand why many people comment here that they didn't find Miranda funny and that was also expressed by the nervousness of Colleen. Miranda has a really strong personality. when I watched her the first time I thought: "who is this crazy person? this is really annoying!" Till I realised that it is just a character with a lot of strange habits, but also thinks in a way out of the box. she is so unpredictable sometimes. you need to get to know her better to understand her jokes. but like food taste we all have different humor, so don't get mad when some people have problems to find miranda funny from the beginning. maybe it is harder for jimmys audience to get it because they are used to another kind of humor. I still think it is great she was in the show and they are open to new things. Colleen really deserves it! she works really hard!

I just discovered 'Miranda' and think she is hilarious. I'm a 26 year old mother of a young baby boy and she helps bring laughter into my day when things are stressful, as they can be with a new baby. I'm not sure why she gets so much hate. If you don't like her humor, don't watch her. Obviously her career being 'Miranda' has served her well. When is the last time you were asked to to a show with Jerry Seinfeld or Jimmy Fallon?

Miranda is hilarious, but this was the wrong set up to bring her into people's attention. Her character needs some getting used to, so you can't just spring her on people and expect they'll immediately get it.

I know, she was a bit nervous during her part, but STILL, she managed to stay in character and do her comedy sketch (making some people actually laugh). So before judging, please take a couple of seconds, because she is a great character, she does her own comedy, and makes her audience laugh. It's OKAY that you don't like how she does her comedy, but think that not everyone gets a chance to appear in such show with such people.
