Plot twist: the brush is haunted, it kills its victims by driving them mad until they kill eachother/themselves, it makes the painter paint its calling card, which are: a centaur, an antisemitic cat and the alphabet.

I watched an analysis on millenial humor, where the conclusion drawn was that millenial humor, in all its absurdity, is a response to the chaos and anxiety of being a part of a generation that went through so much change and travesty, etc. And honestly, your sketches exemplify it perfectly with the rapid fire nonsensical developments and growing absurdity, and that is why these sketches are amazing

I think you have it confused. The Ghostbusters movie wasn't bad because they had women in the lead. It was bad because it was badly lazily planned and badly scripted, parts of it heavily recycled from the original movies, giving the new one precious little that's unique about it. There's no incentive for old fans to actually see the new movie because of this, in short. It didn't tank because they had women in the lead, but because said women were just essentially pasted over the old movies. If they had been properly written, with their own unique characters and quirks, maybe as a separate ghost hunting theme with their own unique adventure, it would've made a world of difference. And what exactly is the problem with Speedy being a woman? The actor is pretty damn solid, and the character is quite decently written and integrated as well. You might as well complain that Green Arrow doesn't have the form-cast beard in the series. It's only a criticism of the superficial.

+August Giæver I personally think that the repetition works very well for this sketch, with a subtle growing intensity, not only maintaining the comedy but enhancing it. Those are just my thoughts though, and you're completely allowed to have your own opinion.

+Metawield Though I see where you're coming from, I think that's actually the style of comedy this sketch is in. While it may appear cringey to the unaccustomed eye, it actually mocks dramatic film and the whole "tortured artist" trope. It's a type of humor not everyone understands. If you watch Chris acting in some other films/sketches/series (the Oscar's Hotel series by KickthePj; Literal Drinks by TomSka; Bite Me by TomSka; Friend Like Me by ICOEPRproductions; and many more), you may find that Chris is capable of portraying many different types of humor. So I see why you think Chris' acting is cringey, but it's actually made to seem that way.

I never thought of it this way.. The camera cuts straight between when Tom and Chris are holding guns and when they seemingly kill themselves. But what happened in between the cut? What if there _was_ actually a murder set up to look like a homicide? What if the centaur, cat, and alphabet actually exist? Why am I overthinking this?
