Thanks for putting P3 st2084 calibration on perspective, finally. It was informative one to know that 1D LUT is shared between 709 and 2020. It was also good to know that P3 signal uses 709 'memory slot'. I was also very curious what does p3d56 do in hdmi signalling overide, and it's good to know that it's just a placeholder.

nicely done. very good ton of info. last time i used calman was around 2015. seems like lots have changed. do you have videos for something like a LCD direct baklight TV? i currently purchased a TCL TV which claims to have HDR, HDR+10, and Dolby vision. i have a C6 Probe. Should i even bother trying?

Great tutorial! I’m a little confused around the 50 min mark though. If you’re using a rec709 mode, how are you able to calibrate a larger P3 gamut or to be able to display anything beyond rec709?

My question is if I update after that version my tv(I don't remember which exact version I calibrate my c2) is it possible to has some issues with panel after that. And if I decide to recalibrate my c2 I need to downgrade the exact version which is in that video? Thank you in advance!

Great video sir. I have a problem regarding HDR calibration on my C2 with Calman & i1 Display Pro. I mainly use my monitor connected to my computer with an nVidia 4080. After calibrating HDR Cinema & HDR Filmaker, I notice that the color space is grayed out in the settings menu on Wide. And the colors on the Windows desktop are oversaturated, so I assume the screen is forcing Rec. 2020 on these two modes after calibration, which is good when I want to display videos & games in HDR. But once I switch to HDR Game, colors normally appear saturated on desktop, forcing the sRGB color space. But now my games and HDR videos look dull. Do you have any idea why Calman fixes HDR game mode to sRGB and Movie + Filmaker modes to BT2020 after calibration? Is there a way to enable BT2020 in HDR Game mode? THANKS

Hi there, I bought the Calman for LG Home (version 5.15.4.7) software package with the C6 colorimeter. In the meantime, I have my Xrite i1 Display Pro (retail) to use while I wait to receive my C6 meter within hopefully few weeks. The issue I'm getting for my LG Evo C3 77inch (firmware 03.31.45) is that the "Find Source" COULD NOT find the TV. It's giving me an error of, "Connection problem. Is ip address correct? Unkown exception". I opened the ports from my router, connected my laptop to ethernet... still gives me this error. Any ideas?

Hei hei! Thank you for this detailed video! I am using it to calibrate my new G3 right now. I have one question and hopefully someone can answer this: Can I change the brightness after calibration or does it "destroy" my calibration? I calibrated the SDR modes of my LG CX for the 100 nits but as soon as some light came in from the outside I wasn't able to discern anything on the TV. Because of this I am calibrating my G3 with Brightness 80 for my day mode. Am I able to adjust the brightness afterwards, if it's too high/low after calibration? With kind regards!

Great that you provide a video like this! Next time, please gear it even more towards enthusiasts. We need more guidance than the professionals do. For example, what if we don't have a spectro, but just a C6 colorimeter or equivalent? Does it even make sense to calibrate a modern high-end TV like this? What are the recommended practices? How do we do a pre vs. post calibration comparison in the best way? Etc.

You said not to touch the tone curve roll-off points in HDR, but in the older video with Tyler (for Calman Home) he said to use 50/40/30. What the difference here? He was also using a less bright 2020 series and not the 2022 G2, is that a factor?

Hello, I have the latest LG G2 Firmware and the latest CalMan Firmware but don’t see an option to do Dolby Vision Game. I only get Dolby Vision Cinema. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. Im new to this group. I had to buy a new license for Home for LG to be fully compatible with my new C2. But im missing both dolby vision cinema home iq and game. Theres no slot selection at all. I tought it was a bug still not fixed or a bad installation. Both my C2 and the G2 use the same soc chipset and processor. To be sure I fully uninstalled calman by deleting all folders files and registry entries. It still not there. Only dolby vision cinema is there. I can't find any help for this. I hope its not the tv but it makes no sense to me thats the tv is broken.thank you!
