Great note for note rendition of my favourite Jon Lord solo. Well done! And as much as I love Ritchie Blackmore -and think he's the best of all time- I really like Steve Morse's job here. No easy task taking on one of the best guitar solos ever recorded!

Sheer virtuosity and vibrant talent..what a pleasure to hear Deep Purple still going strong after all these years and notice that strong friendship bonds between Ian Gillian and Steve Morse...the latter brought a very constructive attitude and philosophy to the band and even if he can never take Blackmoore's place he has given the band a new chance.
@markgowans6 жыл бұрын
Look how Gillan & Glover are having a laugh with Steve Morse. That would never have happened with Ritchie in the band.

Somebody's shouting up at a mountain Only my own words return Nobody's up there, it's a deception When will I ever learn? I'm alone here With emptiness, eagles and snow Unfriendliness chilling my body And whispering pictures of home Wandering blindly how can they find me Maybe they don't even know My body is shaking anticipating The call of the black hooded crow I'm alone here With emptiness, eagles and snow Unfriendliness chilling my body And taunting with pictures of home Here in this prison of my own making Year after day I have grown Into a hero, but there's no worship Where have they hidden my throne I'm alone here With emptiness, eagles and snow Unfriendliness chilling my body And screaming out pictures of home. Ahhh... best song of Deep Purple!

hhhaha I saw him in concert the last month and I told you, he sang muuuuuch better than he sang in this concert and also in the video recorded on 2000 and when he still was with balckmoore. I have my videos of the concert but I havent had time to put them online however. Look the concert videos from Peru at this year. Gillan sang quite well, in highway star and strange kin of woman he did his screams OMG I was on the heaven

@tmgrodrigo Guitarist is not Blackmore. He looks older now and he never preferred to smile at stage :| You know I was at Deep Purple show in Russia at 2010 and can say that Steve is AWESOME! He is great guitar player, very artistic, charismatic and he brings even more drive to this legendary band. As for Gillan voice, it deserves honor at least. Yes it is not as bright and strong now but it is still great. It terribly amazes when original band play alive songs of my youth!

I'm not too sure about that. It's the same model and design. Maybe it was just the lighting. It seems to vary from pure sunburst to a strange bluish/purple hue with changes in the lighting. By the way, Roger looks like he's having a blast, doesn't he?!
