Some Israelies wondered and said - we took out the settlements from gaza but not from the west bank, and we have terrible wars with gaza every two years but not with the west bank, so maybe it was a mistake to take out the settlements (I personally don't think like that, but when people wondering like you suggested, it's seems very logical, so maybe try another suggestion).

I went to Israel and the west bank a few years ago, and I was deeply disturbed by the sight of the numerous check points and 'watching' towers along the walls that separate Israel from the west bank. I mentioned this to my Israeli friend who explained --those walls/towers/check points weren't there from the start; they were erected because of the suicide bombers ----check points are there to protect Jews, rather than to oppress Arabs as we are usually told.

It's more than that. When the hospital was bombed Hamas said that 500 were killed and blamed Israel but when it turned out that it was Hamas who bombed the hospital Hamas said that only 30 people were injured/killed, totally insane. The moment Egypt opens its borders to refugees, Israel will completely destroy Rafah and will kill thousands more to force the rest of the 1.5 million Palestinians into Sinai and steal Gaza as a whole from the Palestinians. And then a few years later Israel will create a terrorist group in Sinai (The same way Benjamin Netanyahu created Hamas and brag about it on record) to try to invade Sinai again like back in 1967 and claim that it is part of their holy land or some shit. Israelis are land thieves by nature so you can’t naively give them the opportunity to take an extra piece of land and not expect them to plan to steal more.
