5N is definitely the best AFFORDABLE enthusiast EV for normal people like us... but in terms of best best existing overall EV, that goes to Porche Taycan and Lucid Air Sapphire, but only millionaires can buy.

@@Wi2Low damn you are clueless. The Taycan GT is literally the fastest mass produced EV on a race track abd you do not need the craziest version to feel the great performance. The 800V-suspension is an engineering marvel alone and worth every penny. The thermal capabilities of the new Taycan are beyond crazy.

In the production EV class the stock Ionic 5N set a new record. Pikes peak is the Nürburgring for EV’s going back to the early days with people like Monster Tajima going electric years ago.

Im very excited for that new i6N myself, based on seeing the rn20 demonstrator which was allegedly designed and supposed to have competed in the all electric etcr touring car championship but didn't. I wonder if the i6N will even compare to the new m3p though? My gut says not quite as someone who ran a 10.75@126+mph in a new 24 m3p proved it makes 457kws for max discharge power and does 2.7s with rollout 0-60mph. I bet the i6n even if they build it out of the new ellebelle GA metaplant, so it's tax credit eligible still won't be cheaper than the new m3p. I say it's 8-12k MORE vs an m3p. Before any stealership markup games. 🤔

My first EV. Every video I continue to find (been waiting for 2nd OOS) reinforces my buying choice of my 5 N purchase. My Hoonigan and cruise nights have all been a blast. Going from “look at me exotic” in previous ICE cars and now “stealth watch this” mode has been equally fun. The unsuspecting reactions (most people) who don’t know what the car is has been priceless. I’m ready for that 680 power upgrade and Pikes Peak download. 😊

The fastest truck is Ford F-150(8:××.yyy) which is an EV for Pikes Peak. Ioniq 5N TA (9:30.852) is currently the fastest electric modified SUV on the mountain. Currently the fastest production electric SUV on the mountain is the Ioniq 5N(10:49.267). The Ioniq5N unfortunately missed out on the honor of being the fastest production SUV (2018 Bentley, 10:48.902) by only 0.365s. For reference, the previous production electric car record was Model S Plaid (11:02.802), and the previous modified electric car record was Model S Plaid (9:54.901). The previous fastest production car is BMW M8(10:12.024) not Porshe. Porshe 911 turbo S did cheat by running on a cold day in Sept. 2022. No one guaranteed Porshe compatible to RULE FOR PRODUCTION CAR.

I like the Ionic 5N, basic or prepped. Hyundai has created a masterpiece imo with this model. I wish we would have a kind of modern Group B rally race championship for EVs because that would be amazing to see. Thanks for sharing!

@hyundai bring the cooling and ICCU improvements to the line up of IONIQ 5’s so we can leave charging in the 90° summer temps after a 240kW 66kWh charge session in 18 minutes with no post charging cooling needed. It’ll go further will a cooled battery. 🎯 23:17

As a new ev owner, I've actually never run into this issue when using fast chargers. whenever i push the precondition battery in settings it just tells me it's already at the right temp. But then again i live in socal and only had the car for a month

So there is quite of upgrades also on "stock" version. But just standard tuning stuff. Apart of 641PS all the time. They could have try to tune another stock to 800PS, I guess would handle that 10 minutes of drive. Anyway, hat down Hyundai N division!

Same suspension hardware. Software tweaks are just removing some limiters. And the seats/interior changes are required for any car to run this track. It wouldn't be safe or logistically possible, but you could theoretically get a similar result with a purely stock car from the dealership.

There's a fundamental difference in approach from this "let's do the bare minimum to allow our production car to race up pikes peak officially" vs something like the ford 150 super or basically any of the ICE monsters driving by in that video. They seem to be fascinated by overall Chinese EV technology over global brands. They valued BYD and Xiaomi when they have reviewed those in China. And that does not sound well balanced opinions to me. In this regard, do you guys also think now we are about to enter into an era of Chinese EV initiatives soon as they foresee?

Lol, I’d never buy a Chinese EV. They are unreliable crap that catch fire (so much for their battery tech), electrocute drivers, literally fall apart while in motion, and kill people with their fake autonomous driving mode.

Tesla's electric car has an emotional richness that Hyundai cars do not have. Those who want the latest technology should use Hyundai. Tesla is luxurious and emotional. We at Tesla cannot provide test cars to Nürburg.

Disagree. Hyundai is literally making EV’s fun with the Ionic 5N. This will be looked at like the GTI of the EV world. The exact opposite of a tech appliance - an EV for gearheads.

Tesla is literally the numbest performance car. The Ioniq is fun to drive, Teslas are snoozefests. And luxurious?

nope. Ioniq 5N is more emotional. Tesla is like anesthesia that erase all emotional sensation. lol BORING!!! And Tesla is not luxurious at all. lol Because Tesla's assembly quality is so low that it makes you wonder if kindergarteners put it together lol lol lol

My problem with this car is all the fake they put in it. The fake paddles, the fake noises...like I just want a performance EV not something that tries to emulate a combustion experience. It's why I love my PS2, it's a fun car that's all EV in all the right ways.

Todo es seleccionado a gusto del conductor. Si quieres ruido lo tienes y si no lo quieres no lo tienes. Nada es obligatorio. Todo lo puede seleccionar el conductor.
