I know man, Im from Vancouver Canada working as a DJ and I had the chance to meet lot of bands with so much potential and talented like Pilate or Pilot Speed, and all of them just fade out cause they didn't get enough support Whitfield, Whoa! she's a babe, Hot Hot Heat, The Sessions and many more... In UK they have more support from government like Keane... Keane did a world tour with the first album!!! Dont get me wrong they are good but my point is "support" local bands...

Tonight I lack the strength to even move When you walked, now watch me die But I know this is harder for you For love has let you down Yeah c'mon I am not alone And the road ahead is lined with broken dreams So walk, yeah walk on by And I failed to give you everything you need For the fears, behind your eyes When I can't feel you I'm not alright, I'm not alright When I can't feel you I'm not alright, I'm not alright, I'm not alright When I can't feel you As Jesus as you throw me on the rocks For love I left your side 'Cause I believed in love and beauty's wiles Where Heaven shone from your eyes Chained to your tree I wanted you to say I wanted you to say I wanted to believe Chained to your tree I wanted you to say I wanted you to say Tell me that it wasn't all for naught And it's such a waste now, it's such a waste now c'mon 'Cause I know your scared but baby don't you hide And it's such a waste You'll stand alone now, you'll make it somehow

I used to feel the EXACT same way. Before I was grounded in christ. Thinking my life had to be lived out in some movie type theme just to have gratitude on life. Life is a blessing. It is a gift to breathe is it not. We have to break down the benchmarks of pop culture and media. What they promote is not life. There is a Jesus. He loves you and wants us all to turn from sin. All men and women are good enough to look into Jesus. Hebrews, Greek, Roman's, ephesians all wrote about him. That goes into evidence. I pray you find christ.

Maybe the greatest unrecognized/underground song ever written of it's realm. (Personal opinion) The song is too personal and deep for people to openly request it or admit they like it. It's also extremely hard to listen to if you haven't fully processed the trauma that makes you identify with it. Or you are lucky enough to have never dealt with a situation that allows you to understand it. At the time of its release, admitting vulnerability was NOT alright. Sucks for the band, they wrote a masterpiece. For myself, I'm glad it wasn't ruined by main stream music that would've played it into oblivion, losing it's raw value. I still come back time to time after 16 years. Always the same!

Was dating a girl in Montreal in 2002 who was taking a film class at Magill. She asked me to come to their final review where everyone in class submitted their project. They rented out a theater in downtown Montreal for the event. Everything shown was about as cringe as you'd expect from a 100 or 200 level film class. Then the theater goes dark and this video plays to this song. It was the most beautiful and heartrending song I'd ever heard in my life. And this video matched it so perfectly. It was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever experienced. Of course the maker won, and then he took his award and disappeared. No one knew the band or the name of the song. I tried to get the girl I was dating to get the info from the creator but she never saw him again. I thought I'd never see this again in my life until I described it to someone in 2008 and they found it on KZfaq. Literally brought me to tears to see it again. Song and visuals are beauty in their purest forms.
