Жыл бұрынOur final adventure with the wonderful Sling High Wing! We leave the Kalahari and fly on towards Kubu Island, hoping to land on the pans for lunch, which turns out to be a pit-stop brake repair. The weather has turned for the worse, leaving us no other option than to change our plans. But we can’t miss the grand arrival party… Join us on the last leg of our incredible journey, together with the most amazing team of pilots, to celebrate SHW’s return home.

It is so wonderful to watch you folks. Many aviators in my family, also friends. Anything from SPL on a 152 to veteran A340-600 & 747 captains, fighter pilots, captains on ATR, 737's, CRJ, and various turboprops. I won't ever pass flight medical and guard the hangars, there's beer. But as we say in our southern lingo; ek gun julle die ervaring. Bank memories; life might throw you a curved ball and you need to live off the interest. That Wagon Wheels thingy once belonged to relatives who flew Robbie 44, Longranger, etc. Enjoy!!

The long journey is over. I am going to miss these episodes so much. It has been such a pleasure being able to follow you and Mauritz on this incredible journey. I felt like I was there. Thanks for taking the time and effort to record, edit and post these videos for us to enjoy. I know it takes a lot of work. Your journey was an inspiration to the rest of us. Love your channel and have followed you on this incredible trip. I've been to the Makgadikgadi pans myself, albeit in a Toyota truck. As a general aviation pilot in the States (SEL) I've thrilled at some of your low level flying but have sometimes cringed at the risk taking. I fly with the philosophy that "altitude is money in the bank" and flying often a few dozen feet off the ground is flying with only penny to spare. From an aviation safety standpoint, I wouldn't want to encourage pilots to scud run the hills with lowering ceilings in the 100's of feet, and increasing rain. But you did and you made it and I'm really glad. Sorry for the womp womp, I just want my fellow pilots to live long and prosper and I want you Rosie to keep giving your incredible energy and vivaciousness to the world, thank you!. Keep up the great adventures and stay safe!

@@PilotBambi I am even more excited after watching your videos. Itinerary arrive Kilimanjaro drive to Ngorongoro for 3 nights. The to the 4 seasons Serengeti for 4 nights, then Sayari Camp for 3 nights. We have a driver for all the Safari trips during the days.

it was difficult to leave the planes behind knowing that we were SO close to home.. but it was the safest option, and made for quite a nice final adventure when we got to fly back to Gabs with the C210

Hhhmmm I don’t know but I’m not happy with that ending. This was thee final piece, he last hoorah of this journey we followed you through…I feel rushed, skipped and hopped to an ending, emotions left dangling. Where is the full flight, the first communication with SA Airspace, the drone like fly over at the home of Sling…I could be wrong, but I feel this was a rushed ending for a journey I bought into so much. But thank you for a great adventure and inspiration for keeping the dream to fly alive.
