Everything about this table just drives you. The fast and furious Steve Ritchie design... the lightshow... the music... the chanting "You can do it you can do it". One of my favorites on The Pinball Arcade.

i have a real high speed in my game room along with a nice firepower...... i love ritche games. the firepower is older but its still great..... the high speed, awesome light show.... his older games will give someone with epilepsy fits.

Give me your money! Always loved it when someone played this at the arcade when I was a kid. Loved the music and the voices.

I watch the six loops in a row at around the 8:40 mark every so often. Just amazing. I played the game for years and only did six or seven in a row twice. The first time, I was playing the machine in college with the sound absoultely jacked up and a couple people watching, and I was so into those repeating loops, I didn't even realize I was inadvertently nudging the machine pretty good, the game tilted on the seventh loop, and as I froze, sweating, crazed, I got a mix of incredulous stares from those who didn't understand and some condolences from those who knew. :^)

Awesome video, I used to have a Black Knight 2000 and it is without question one of the greatest machines ever built. You're also at a beast at this game, you were able to show pretty much every feature it has, even the King's Ransom!

Aw yeah, RANSOM baby. Man, I miss my Bk2000. I'd hooked up an audio out jack so the sound came through my stereo system's loudspeakers. Probably drove my neighbours nuts.

It is on this machine that I had my Pinball Wizard moment at the old Smithfield News (now gone) in Pittsburgh, PA. I had just 200k on the first ball, and Ball 2 was great. RANSOM, Jackpot, Replay, second place on the high score list... by the time Ball 3 rolled around, I noticed movement behind me. I'd drawn a small crowd. Finished my game, and got the Match, too. 5 Credits on the machine and I walked away. To this day it's one of my finest gaming moments on any platform. I love you, BK2K.

Just seeing the RANSOM intro is classic! 5X Bonus U-Turns=250,000 Extra Ball Lit WAR=Million Jackpot is Lit Skyway is Lit (and just admit the truth already...) EVERYTHING IS LIT!

Another of the coolest things was if you didn't have a credit in the machine and hit the start button, the Black Night would say "No way, give me your money!" The machine would also call out "Give me your money" every so often, and that smirking challenge made me spend my first quarter on it. Then it became a roll of quarters a week. This is the only pinball machine I wish I owned.

This is the best video on KZfaq for appreciating the soundtrack, much better than listening to it on it's own. BTW love games that are hard as nuts, where you can play for 10 minutes, actually do *well* yet not even hit 10 million. Glory days.

Quite an epic struggle for jackpot at the end and great ball handling skills , probbly my favorate pin game of all time, Truly miss Williams and all the great orignal games they created, its lucky if you can even find a playable table in our area only private colectors have access anymore.

Oh my god I loved this table so much when I was a kid. There were no arcades near my house so my friends and I would ride our bikes 8 miles to a mall that had a HUGE arcade and I would pretty much only play this. It's really sad that there's so few arcades these days. There was no better feeling than having your pocket heavy with quarters and walking in there and hearing all the sounds.

Those look like incandescent lamps. Dude, you're waaaay too polite with this machine. You need to bump it around a little to get play off the WAR light bumpers--passing that ball to the upper flipper is KEY. Also, you should be able to play for a LONG time with just your right hand. On your pinball, I mean. :) During RANSOM, don't be afraid to lose balls to get them up to the upper playfield for the jackpot. Also, losing a ball and keeping it in the plunger trough gives you a spare ball.

one of the first pinball tables I ever played. Well, it is the very first that I actually remember playing. It was legendary back in the days. The owner of the nearby video store had one, as well as "fun House" and other great tables later on.

Black Knight 2000 is my favorite, but I want to try that Rollergames table to the left of you. I’ve never player that one, but I liked the show and NES game when I was a kid.

@Zaximillian At the local bar that my brother and I used to go to, they had both this and Whirlwind. My brother took 1st on BK2K and I took 1st on Whirlwind. Later on I found a BK2K and scored 12 mil on a 3 ball game, max slope on the pinball table. If I own any pinball again, it will be this game.

young kids today say "epic" as if they know what it means. NO! THIS game is EPIC! Having a crowd of 20 onlookers watch you kick the black nights ass to electronic chours singing in 1989 is EPIC!! "you got the power...ahhhhh...ahhhhhhhhh..aaHHHHH" YEAH! this is what life was all about!!! young kids today know nothing about this!

He got ransom so fast because he had all the other letters lit from previous games. : Because of the ease of keeping the ball back on the upper playfield, there's a house rule that your score doesn't count unless you spell BLACK. That is what actually takes mad skillz. :),

I've been playing this game more often at my local arcade and I've never been good at nudging. I'm still not good at nudging, but I think this is a really good machine to learn how to do it on (given how light of a nudge it takes to visibly affect the ball at the WAR posts). I've improved my nudging skill and even though every machine is different some of that newfound nudging instinct is carrying over to the other tables.

This indeed is a good game to get the nudges going, maybe the best of all time excluding the outlanes... especially on the WAR and WIN lanes, tiny nudges as the ball rolls down the WIN lanes can roll the ball back up the same lane it came from for all three lanes. Love when ya get into a rhythm and can spell W-I-N five or six times in a row. And knowing when to nudge and how much as the ball trickles across the WAR lanes is a unique skill to the game. It seems like the newer machines, even with their modern updates and glitz don't have as much or any of this player-intuition built into the games except in the rubber outlane posts.

Actually it ought to be pretty easy to get this on The Pinball Arcade, since there's no expensive media license involved, and it's a Williams game that uses the same hardware platform as Taxi and Elvira and the Party Monsters, both of which are already in there. It's a question of whether they think the demand is there, I guess.

Extremely nice machine, I own one myself too. I noticed that the top ball popper launches the ball extremely fast at the third flipper, much faster than at my machine (sometimes it barely rolls uit of the wireform). How did you manage to do that?

A rollergames and a black knight 2000 next to eachother. that must be heaven room! the only thing that misses is beer and boobs would be cool too oh rollergames is for some 80s/90s addict reason still my favorite
