As far as I can remember, the reason Pinhead was made the leader of the cenobites in the first movie was that the prostethics worn by the guy who played Butterball made it difficult for him to deliver any of his lines. Since Doug didn't have that same issue, the script was rewritten and he ended up getting all of Butterball's lines.

I swear Pinhead himself made this video- man, that voice is the shit nightmares are made of. Good stuff, man!

Out of all the horror movies I've watched, and I grew up in the 80's, the first 3 Hellraiser movies are the only ones that scare me. The great work of a true mastermind Clive Barker!

You can always trust Pinhead to have a good point to all his arguments.

One thing that separetes Pinhead from all other movie monsters is that he likes to talk a lot! Most horror monsters are either completely silent, or say couple of lines at most. Not Pinhead though: he loves to give long monologues.

Clive Barker should do one last Hellraiser and call it Hellraiser: The Lament Configuration.

Unlike most horror characters Pinhead has friends to back him up.

I liked the Cenobytes back when they were articulate, intelligent, well-written, and morally neutral. They did not side with good or evil. Of course, one could argue that hedonism and sado-masochism may be a few shades darker than gray, but that depends on your point of view, I suppose. They were Prophets of Pain, not demons or devils in a classic sense. They were not mindless killing machines. They were priests, scholars, and recruiters of their faith. That's no different than any other faith I've heard of recently. Now, they're just written as simple plot antagonists, with no soul or substance, and badly abused by writers for poorly-constructed cash-grab films.

Just have to say thank you for these videos. Huge fan of the franchise in all its forms.

I remember a few years back watching an insurance advert on UK tv and Doug Bradley was in it.

Bradley and Barker are fantastic and enjoyed every Pinhead performance. Top notch makeup.Cenobites are interesting, amorphic demons. Hell Priest's past is true horror in itself. Great graphics!

Pinhead REALLY needs a canon/non-canon breakdown. The Scarlet Gospels was good but confusing. Leviathan isn't really mentioned and the Labyrinth is suddenly a fortress in hell. Satan also exists when a christian connection was never clearly established.

He is only referred to as Pinhead for the first time in Part 3 when Joey tells him with the box "Play with this Pinhead"

Pinhead must have been large, since he had to cut all that meat off to fit into Lucifer's armor. I cant really tell if he feels pain or not, since pain is his bag, but he is almost completely unaffected by carving inches off his torso and thighs (if I remember right) You should do an ending explained for The Scarlet Gospels. It left off on a massive cliffhanger. Are more coming? What's the word on the street?

I'd like to know more about the Nightbreed. I'm surprised they are related to the Cenobites. The movie portrayed them as being an actually a peaceful and persecuted people. I've always planned to read the books about them, but never had the time.

LOL Awesome video, I swear out of all of the Hell series, or anything relating to the Lament Configuration, Hell-Priest by far HAS to be my most favorite cenobite created by Leviathan other than Channard. Such an icon of truly "Good" horror back when horror was still "Good", and such epic lines as well. xD [Daaaaaaaaaaaawwwwww . . . . Daaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwww] [And with the sounding of eerie chimed bells in the distance, all light faded from the room before the one, the user, the summoner who had just commenced tampering and toying with the mysterious "Box". Only for a brief moment however, as the light soon slowly faded back into place, though now dimmer, and casting haunting shadows throughout the surrounding, emanating a dull glow of faded light from certain recesses. And then... "They" came, "THEY" slowly stalked into view, out of nowhere, out of everywhere, as if "They" had been there the entire time, watching, waiting, but not having been there at all, seeming to have slowly walked, stalkingly slow, out from the darkest shadows cast within the room. All leather clad, pale white skinned, ominous & grotesque figures. The user sitting on the floor strained to see more clearly, counting four. Just one of "Them" alone was enough to cause any sane individual fleeing for the closest, ANY, point of safety. But alas to no avail, no fleeing was seen as a viable option, there were FOUR or "Them". "They" who had appeared, who's terrifying and grotesque features looked as though "They" had walked into this realm, from an unseen path, directly out of an unrealized nightmare. One appeared heavy set, ripples of slimy rolls of flesh wearing what could only been seen as sunglasses, licking it's lips. One whom appeared to have all the skin of it's head pealed back, the only noticeable feature was the lipless mouth, and the constant chitter of teeth. One appearing to be female, with needles pierced throughout her face and head, a horrid hole slit open in throat, looking down at the user as she proceeded forward, as she ran together a pair of the most gruesome looking pair of hook shaped blades ever seen, sharpening them. The final, a tall figure, one with a grid like pattern sliced through his head with nails driven into each intersection of cuts. "THEY" had arrived. As they slowly entered, the house seemed to groan and moan quietly, as if complaining of it's own weight. As the user watched "Them" enter, petrified, reluctant to even move, had seen numerous trails of dark liquid running down all of the walls. Was it blood? A house bleeding? In the dull, ominous quiet, a faint sound of a pulsing heartbeat was heard from within the walls of the room, which defied all sense of logic. As well as this, the user could also make out the faint, quiet wailings of many unseen persons of unknown tortures resonating through the house. What was happening?] "ChkChkChkChkChkChkChkChkChk" . . . . . Kaaa-chhhhhnnnnk, Kaaa-chhhhhnnnnnk, Kaaa-chhhhhhnnnnnnk [The figures gathered, positioning themselves, encircling the user. As they stood, gazing down at the user silently for a brief moment. The one at front and center, of whom the user could only guess may have been the leader, as he was last to enter and last to stand in front of the user, the one with nails in his head looked down at the user with coal black eyes; then in a low, ominous tone was first to speak...] Priest: "The "Box" . . . YOU opened IT . . . WE CAME . . . " User: "I-It-It, IT's just a PuzzleBox ..." Priest: "OH NO . . . IT is so much MORE . . . IT is a means to summon US . . ." User: "Who are you ...?" VERY REAL, alone for now, BUT "THEY" may well return, and soon, the user knew there was not much time left. Quickly ran back, grabbed up the "Box" and departed, knowing what HAD to be done . . . .]

The Hell Priest. I for one actually like this name better than Pinhead. One may say we must respect the wishes of the original creator. On another note, Mr H. like one of my photos on Instagram, it was a guitar I did some tech work on. I felt honored.

The flames part as Pinhead steps forward and says 'Gentlemen, what seems to be the problem?' However, they couldn't get the rights to the Pinhead character

The actor did such an amazing job of making Pinhead his own character. That's part of why I hated the last movie so much. The replacement actor had a much lower charisma score.

I read the Scarlet Gospels.. Pinhead was ,,well,,a nightmare incarnate in that book!

Can't say why but Pinhead is my favorite movie monster from the 80s horror flicks.

a very angry living soul who chose a dark path because of the suffering of humanity it drove him mad he can be redeemed and he can be helped I thought of a script that would be nice to see where pinhead is actually able and finds the strength to overcome his inner demons, and then he could become a sort of scarred hero that helps to fight off the cenobites whenever they are summoned.
