I don’t know what’s cuter, the man who is so excited to find the frog or the little turtle frog. He does look quite unusual. What a cute little chub. I got so excited when after it rained in Arizona these soft little frogs come out of the ground. They too were adorable. The soil here is not so soft. I was amazed that they could burrow into the soil.

That’s another funny thing about the turtle frog. All the other normal-looking frog species in southwest Australia produce all manner of weird unfroglike calls - you hear sounds at night like sad moaning, motorbike engines, or someone plucking a banjo. Then you have the turtle frog, the strangest looking frog imaginable, yet it produces a mundane stereotypical frog “croak”.

Animals have fascinated me for over 60 years ! It is even more astonishing to discover new species now and surprising to better see known species already photographed but difficult to film and which still need to be studied in more detail. Provided that we can preserve them in their country and their original ecosystems!

what a cutie pie❤ and as someone who owns turtles & tortoises,i can definitely see the cuteness & the resemblance it has to a turtle,i love toads and frogs and iguanas,chameleons, beardies,lizards...etc,NO snakes,i hate them and wish they would all disappear!! i guess you finding this very cute turtle frog is like me going into the wilderness and finding a galapagos tortoise😮😮 my dream would be to look upon the gentle giants,the dinosaurs of modern day every morning...the different subspecies of galapagos and aldabra tortoises 🐢i'm lucky enough to have 2 red eared sliders,1 yellow belly slider,1 african sideneck turtle, 1 mud turtle,1 russian tortoise,1 redfoot tortoise and 1 african spur thighed tortoise/sulcata💚🐢thank you for sharing this beautiful & exciting adventure with the world😎

Asian banded bullfrog can qualified. Despite of the name it doesn't related to american bullfrog nor resemble it. It just so round with small head (actually plenty of burrowing frogs oddly have such appearance too. Smol head and round body)

I like Mark having the spotlight. I enjoy Coyote Peterson a lot and hope he continues to be in a lot of videos, but Mark has clearly changed and is much less awkward behind the cameras. I love his passion for frogs too.
