I was at this concert. I'm an Englishman who was 45 at the time and I had tears running down my face for most of the gig. I completely lost my British stiff upper lip. I was an emotional mess by the end. The greatest gig I've ever been to. ✌️❤️🇬🇧

So you’re like 75 now? I hate crying all the time at a concert….constant need to blow your nose….getting a headache. Kinda annoying. More than kind of. So I try not to do that…..in a concert that is.

I saw the tour, but in a different city. I saw them also for Momentary Lapse of Reason. Nothing can touch this tour. They had to use three sets for the US wing, because it took so long to set them up and break them down, they were in three cities at once, at any given time, setting up, playing, or breaking them down.

The Pulse Concerts were not only timeless, they feel timeless today, because they were so ahead of their time! To my knowledge, this was the first concert, where the Lightshow es choreographed with computers to be fully synchronized with the beat/rhythm of the songs/tracks. The surround sound used in the concerts was unheard of. And to my knowledge nobody has since again pulled off something to that scale!

Well, you seem well informed, because that's how you say it, I had the opportunity to see them live on their second night in Mexico City, apart from the stage and lights, there was sound equipment behind the stage and in the back of the people . I don't know if you had the opportunity to listen to this album Pulso on Tape or CD, there was a track where you hear bird sounds, and as a river passed, this track was played before the concert began and the most surprising thing is when you walked, it gave you the feeling that you heard the river come or go... and that was just before the concert began.

YES, David Gilmour is a very "Cool Guy".....Back in O.C. Calif when I was 30 my wife heard a commercial on the radio about a P.F. show coming up. Knowing I am a Floyd fan she called the radio station (KMET - LA, “The Mighty Met”) to get information on the concert, The DJ on live radio Cynthia Fox…. said...."Congratulations, YOU are caller number 10, YOU just won tickets to the show and the Sound Check Party before the show"... I met David Gilmour back stage. He gave us both a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. Hard to explain how awesome that moment was in my life. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. . I told him in my eyes he’s a “Legend“. He thanked me and said “Enjoy the show”…. during the concert after the song “Money” he looked right at me and said…. “On saxophone, another Legend, Mr. Raphael Ravenscroft” … acknowledging my comment to him. It is my favorite moment in over 300 shows I’ve seen. I asked David…. How do you create those awesome solos?… he said….. I sit on a stool and listen to what Roger, Nick and Rick put down and play along. I listen to what I played and pick out what I like, then I put the pieces together into one piece then learn to play it as one. Our fans are fanatics for our shows to sound like the albums so I must play it correctly each time in a show. I have the concert Brochure and album on the wall with David’s picture centerfold. All of us fortunate enough to have seen this show live were in a TRANCE.... MESMERIZED the entire show... as you can imagine. We walked out saying.... What did we just witness? That was out of this world incredible. The Red Fender Stratocaster he used for this concert in the Guitar Collector World is ....PRICELESS

As a 59 yr old male, I can tell you that I have experienced 'onion eyes' many times over the years listening to PF's music, so I always appreciate both of your abilities to truly experience the music that you react to! There is a reason that Tuomas (Nightwish) chose to do a tribute to this awesome song, and though I rarely appreciate anyone's attempts at re-creating PF's music, I do quite enjoy Nightwish's version of the song! Also, although there are MANY guitarists in the world that I admire a lot, no one conveys emotion through their guitar (for me) quite like David Gilmour! Cheers from Kodiak Island!

I really enjoy your reactions to Pink Floyd so much. This song especially touches my soul also. It is a song about remembering back to our youth and the simplicity of our hopes and dreams. When we were young “everything and anything “ was possible. But, as we grow older and “life” has kicked us down a few times, and friends and loves disappoint us….. we loose our ability to see the joy and wonder of life. This song is a masterpiece. It helps us remember who we were….when hope was real. Life was intended for “living”….not just existing. Sadly our present world has forgotten that truth. Now….we just exist. A powerful song to remind us, who we were. I listen to this song quite often……to remind myself of who we used to be.❤️🙏🇨🇦

As a professional musician, I like that you’ve noticed how serenely businesslike Gilmour and the other members of Pink Floyd are, as they channel the music of the spheres in this magnificent work. To me, the most effective musicians have always understood that, so to speak, it’s not the artist’s job to do the crying, but to cause it. This is an act of understanding and concentration. This band of amazing cool-tempered souls, and their visual collaborators, have taken this wisdom and manifested it so sublimely that we are left stunned and shattered. I love how David Gilmour casually introduces the tune: “Well, I suppose we should get on with it.” ☺️

Pink Floyd makes emotions audible - they always take you on a journey...where you ultimately go is entirely your choice. This song is a recap to their journey through life - as a band, and as individuals. The tribute to their fallen founder - Syd Barrett - is there as well. It is truly fitting that this is the closing track on their final complete studio album (and as a unified group). They have NO peers - even 30 years down the road. Thankfully, their work will still be available to current and future generation to wonder at.

This band is something else. I remember I had a To-Do list given to me by the wife right after we moved into our first home. I was doing work with the music playing and my 11 yer old daughter was on the couch doing something. Pink Floyd came on and it was the song Us and Them. By the time the song was over my 11 Y.O was in tears. I asked her want was wrong and she said this song is very pretty. That song has made me cry every time I listen to it. I would highly recommend "Us and Them" for you. The lyrics are unworldly.

Hello Andre and Dominica, I have seen your reactions and what you have said in each reaction of this incredible concert, and that is why I wanted to share that I had the opportunity to see Pink Floyd in Mexico City in 1994, on April 10, I was about 30 meters in front of the stage, where the sphere came out in comfortably numb, the experience from start to finish was incredible, and I can tell you that I was hallucinated for a week because I didn't believe what I had seen, as you have said, the music, the lights, the sound, the experience was 360, and I share that between 1992 and 2005 I saw more than 40 artists including Rolling Stones, Metallica, Scorpions, Sarah Brigtman, Phil Collins, Guns and Roses, Michael Jackson, etc. .... but no concert made me vibrate so much musically, emotionally and that you didn't know where to see, where to pay attention because live it was amazing, without further ado, it has been the best concert of my life

This song is beyond what words can describe…. The process of unbound adventure (youth) to staleness and decay (life aging you)…. I don’t know how else to describe it but such insane beauty applies to the observation and process of this song. Also, their songs follow the process of life. A subtle introduction, a ramping up, a smooth pocket in the chorus, increasing severity leading to the crescendo of David’s solos, and then the wind down.. the deep exhale. My god, the love in it all is simply describing and relating the process to us. My god.

At 14 i first heard pink floyd in a freinds bedroom, he had just bought the album and was lucky enough to have his own record player. I soon had my own an old dancet record player begged of an uncle and my first ever album dark side off the moon. And somehow pink floyd only ever got better. High Hopes is a song of indescribable beauty. David Gilmour knows how to make his guitar talk and even make you cry and the lyrics are not exactly irrelevant, but they have some really deep messages that make you think at least, and move you to tears in some of his songs. You should react to "on the turning away", a song with a very powerful message and a legendary solo. "Mother", "Time" and many, many tracks that will never be forgotten because they are wonderfully timeless.

David Gilmour (guitar) was the placidity, guitar virtuoso, the silky smooth voice and co-maestro; the equilibrium. * March 6, 1946 (age 76 years) Richard Wright (keyboards) was the essential underlying symmetry; musical nurturer. Occasional singer. * July 28, 1943 (rip 2008) Nick Mason (drums) was the heartbeat, structure and foundation; the sole member involved from the emergence of PF to the last recording. * January 27, 1944 (age 79 years) Pink Floyd - Sorrow (1994) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gMqAh8iUmqeodnk.html Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (1994) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rM9nlthyz6fWgqc.html Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (1994)= kzfaq.info/get/bejne/atV7ZK2U1JyudoE.html Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall (1994) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jZaSnJqAy8evfY0.html Pink Floyd - Time (2005) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pat3f5qbl7KyaGg.html >> Brit Floyd - Us and Them (to end of DSOTM album) (WOW tribute) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mLKKirecs9--dqM.html Pink Floyd - Great Gig In The Sky (studio) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z9CImZBpnqi5Y5s.html >> Brit Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts I-V (2011) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qdF-krigmczPmWQ.html David Gilmour - High Hopes (2016) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pZl_krqanruolo0.html Pink Floyd - Money (1994) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/frSAd6SXr7qyYWQ.html >> Brit Floyd - Dogs (2013) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fr-phrWUvp-udIU.html Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (2005)(Waters Reunion) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hsVkqKiSv7eWe5s.html Pink Floyd - Time (1994) = kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fMWGnbmiypmvemQ.html AWESOME!! Yet another great reaction. I’m sure by now your listeners want you to do “dark side of the moon” full album reaction. Count me among them. P.S. not one song at a time. Straight through side one and then side two. It will truly amaze you

I'm 65 and 66 in a few months and I shed tears to a lot of music! And the women I have known always liked that I am that way!

"Bittersweet." Love that, coz it's the song in a nutshell! Have listened to it 10,000 times (lol) but it never fails to give me electrifying goosebumps and a tear or two every damn time! Love your reactions. Perhaps along with Vin and Sori, you are my second most fave couple reactor. Subbing. Keep exploring the PF rabbit hole. (I recommend "On the Turning Away" live next - a song about homelessness and general apathy).

You two are beautiful to watch! Absolutely love your channel and especially your Pink Floyd reactions. I loved the self-effacing humor of changing the name of the channel to "Cry With Andre", but do not feel embarrassed. Anyone with a soul will feel what you felt when hearing this song, especially for the first time. I know I have on occasion. Keep up the wonderful videos, my friends! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

I believe Dominika, at 8:43, actually understood what this song is truly about. I LOVE the tune and your reaction. Thank you.
