They…offer every year…a new pipe with a band to commemerate the Pipe Club of London. The Associate membership that I have is only £15 and I attend most monthly Zoom meetings. I hesitated about buying this year’s PCOL pipe as I thought it was a bit small for me, but in the end I swooped on one and I’m pleased I did. I love it. Your organisation regarding your tobacco cellar is admirable…I wish I was so organised and bravo for despatching some to the Ukraine for the troops…wonderful gesture👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

That is indeed quite an elegant pipe. Given that it smokes so well, that makes it a true treasure. It is my experience that a neatly organized, accurately inventoried cellar helps one to sleep peacefully at night. (It can also help identify blend categories that might require reinforcing, thereby justifying a bit of shopping. 🤣🤣) It's cold here too; here's hoping Spring will find us soon. Take care my friend.

I started with an excel when I started to collect tins but gave up…thinking I would keep an adequate mental record…but tobacco collecting syndrome overtook me. Its a kind of therapy to make an inventory, sobering and the beginning of control. Its also great to see wonderful tobaccos like crown jewels in your cellar 😄😉

We have about 2 meters of snow right now and expecting another .5 meter in the next couple of days. Snowed in here! But I’ve got plenty of pipes, tobacco and methods of making fire. Could be worse my friend! Very nice collection there.

Hola Lester, the Neerup pipe is lovely. 👌🏻A ordinary Danish style. I like it. I hope the Ukraine troops will receive you big package of tobaccos. This is a really great sign of you.👍🏻 I think with this collection of tobaccos you will survive a good time😁 in case of a tobacco crisis that we will have in the future. That Neerup is a lovely smoker, something dufferent in my collection 😄 😉 3 kgs of chocolate and 7 kgs of tobacco passed Ukraine customs with no problem…I hope in a week or so they reach my friends in Ukraine 😊🇺🇦

Neer-up boom boom!! A hat is a must when you start to thin up top. The 2023 pipe is great. Is the band brass? I thought it was silver.

I have created a spreadsheet to inventory my tobacco as well. I have inserted a formula to calculate my supply in years based on how often I smoke. Happy to share the spreadsheet with any interested. Love your inventory, Lester!

That could make a great video for you Greg 😊 I know I smoke currently about a 1 kg per year...about 1.6 tins a month…a bowl a day….though..it varies a lot. I smoke 5 days a week so somedays I smoke 2 bowls but rarely more. My inventory will take me to the age of 90 roughly, my mother and all grand parents lived to their 90s. Lets see how it goes 😄😉💨💨💨

I do like a good inventory. I’m a dreadful collector of things - dust, mostly - and find myself trying to get one of everything…..or one and a spare! I tried to collect a sixpence or shilling for every year, but it just got too expensive. Then it was cigarette cards from the 30s, which is still reasonably affordable, and now I’ve moved onto old books on Sussex. Thank heavens for EBay!

Well done David 😊 Any 9mm filter will do but I keep a stock of Vauen Dr. Pearl Junior, Savinelli, Stanwell and Peterson 9mm filters. Rarely one fits better than another one but my pipe takes all of them. The Dr. Pearl Junior filters are easy to find and slightly cheaper if you buy a bigger box. I suggest cool smoking tobaccos burley based to break it in. Prince Albert or Velvet are what I often use fir a new pipe. Enjoy it my friend 😄💨💨💨💨

Well…at 2 bowls a day..5g for 5 days a week, lets say thats 1kg a year…so 25kg..is..about..25 years! As my mother is 92 and my grandparents lived into their 90s I might just make it….and…the virginias will age very well..my dearest….Miss Worm 😄😉
