I'm so pleased to see that they DID actually make more power than just a gutted can, and the craftsmanship alone is worth the price of admission if they ever become available. Works of art indeed. It would really be a fun experiment to alter the dimensions, and diameters to see if the same design could be tweaked to raise the power peaks even higher. Great work Morgan!

Ufo pipe is slick. Pretty interesting to see the power characteristics change that much with a pipe that only occupies factory exhaust space.

Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship! As well as the Ram Horn pipe that Bucking runs on his saws there's a lot of effort that goes into producing and perfecting a muffler such as these. Defiantly a work of art. I use to weld for a living and took pride in my work. Those are beautifully done. There is some thought and time in those.

Beautiful pipes, glad to see a significant gain on both, as cool as the enterprise looks I have personally always liked the look of the UFO best, don't know why, just do. As stated in other comments would be good to see how these percentage gains stack up against an opened up stock pipe, key to the bush etc. Thanks for your time Joe, always, always appreciated.

Would love to see the factory muffler opened up and compared to these three. You have to be careful running pipes that dump out the front. In big timber about two thirds of the way through the log it can block the exhaust and lean your saw right out. Ask me how I known. lol Took me a few cuts to figure out what was going on, because I had just built the saw I kept thinking something was wrong with the saw itself. In my opinion 1/2 hp gain with chainsaw bling it’s definitely a win win. I think Morgan is onto something there with those sleek custom pipes. Could he be an innovator in the next big chainsaw thing?

It looks like the un-modded muffler performed better at wide open throttle (WOT). When cutting wood, I've got the throttle at WOT 80% or more of the time. Plus, if you're thinking they may interfere with the safety bar or the wood being cut, I think I'd just keep my Stihl, stock. Form follows function, in my opinion.

I like both Morgan's pipes, but definitely like the UFO pipe the best. I just cut firewood, but would love a cool pipe lke that. Morgan's a helluva' tin knocker, & from the looks of his work, understands the dynamics of expansion chambers, & exhaust theories. Thanks Joseph.

Props to Morgan! I built the iron horse pipe for my 372 x torque last year and buckin's key to the Bush for my 385 and to see the amazing craftsmanship in these 2 pipes is awesome! It's not easy to build a pipe that nice that makes good gains! I hope Morgan will decide to market them! Great work!

So I paused the video to make this comment before knowing the results, I was sure the UFO pipe would be a winner for power, and the Enterprise pipe would make an interesting sound.

Nice to see the actual numbers of these mufflers. The dyno certainly proves the theory of increasing the performance of a saw as the number don't lie. I would imagine the results in the wood would be similar if not a slight improvement when the saw is under a natural load, doing what it was designed to do. Just due to the fact that it can exhaust the air swifter in grunt mode, so to speak. If the price is right I would go for one of each for sure to experiment on my saws. (268xp & 272xp). Would be interesting to see the "Ram Horn & The Ironhorse" on the dyno as well and compare them all "Amano Amano". Thanks Dyno Joe and Morgan for this great experiment and now proof of concept.

Beautiful pipes and even more so once they blued from the heat, added power is nice to and making a more usable power range.

Enterprise dual outlet is lower temp on the side where cooling air comes from. Doesn’t mean internal air flow is uneven based on color alone.

Nice job Morgan! True craftsmanship at it's finest. Definitely 2 of the nicest pipes I have seen. I really like the UFO pipe! It is hard to judge the outlet size in the video but I wonder if the outlet was smaller/ 80% of the exhaust port that it may have preformed even better on that saw. I like the outlet pointing straight forward vs out the side on a work saw, with nothing sticking out in front of the case. A screen option as well. They definitely need a support brace for a work saw as you mentioned. I would run one felling timber and cutting firewood. I have experienced the same results on dual outlet pipes with one side flowing more, so I favor the single outlet. I am testing a single port original 372xp muffler with a 3/4" I.D. pipe in place of the stock outlet vs dual port on a stock 372 x-torque muffler on of my stock 372 x-torque. It would be nice to see a run with different mods on the factory muffler. I have several of these saws with this muffler and would like to find what works best to run on all of them. I would definitely be interested in buying a UFO pipe with the above mentioned tweeks. Thanks for sharing Morgan and Joe.

Definitely better looking then that stock can and good to see that they produce more power. It would be good to see what the results would be on a ported saw.

Awesome looking pipes, I bet they would show more with a ported saw compared to the stock can even more so. Looks like they have the ability to flow some air. I originally thought I liked the UFO more so, but really like the tone the enterprise pipe produced also. Gains were definitely there, hard to gain up high with a non tuned expansion chamber pipe. I would rock either one, I just do firewood. Would definitely show it on any chance I had .

Motorized bicycle engine builders are going to be asking for these especially the guys running chainsaw top ends. Those pipes look beautiful but boy they sound mean absolutely love it

my buddies and I ran Walkerized saws 20 years ago. This was a ported exhaust with dual outlets.

It would definitely go everywhere with me!

I made a similar comment on buckins video on these. The pipes are a bit too big, if they were 25% smaller they'd run better and be snappier. They're basically smaller can mufflers with giant outlets, if the outlet was equal to about a one inch pipe they'd be better. If Morgan is ok with it, weld up the outlet making it close to one inch square total, I bet it makes more power and has better response.

I know the OEM muffler for a 394 is $125.00. If the price for one those custom pipes is within my reach I'm going to order one. Reach is relative of course. Good job everybody involved. Later. 👍

I would think the single outlet UFO with a slightly smaller outlet would put out even better numbers, remembering these type of pipes aren’t big enough to reflect sound wave back pressure, but utilized actual back pressure to manage scavenging. It would be interesting to see how much back pressure would be ideal with some more testing. It’s obvious that in current form it does a great job and it sounds nice. I would use one all the time on my MS400. But I’m just a woodlot owner, not a pro. Nice vid Joe!

What is a reasonable gain to get from a saw pipe? They are good looking pipes. I'd play with one in a fire wood pile but I couldn't log with it legally. But I would like to see other modes stock cans etc to compare

Getting closer to the design of a 2 stroke dirtbike exhaust. Seems to work great for them. Works off sound and supercharges as you know. I thought the ufo would work best due to length of exhaust travel.

Excellent build quality. I like the way the Enterprise looks...a lot. I haven't gotten to the numbers yet, but my guess is that there will be no discernible difference between the two pipes, and I'm hoping you compare them to a regular modified can, although I understand if you don't.

I would love to see what it would do with the factory opening hogged out and the deflector raised a bit and the screen removed.

I'm wondering over time, with no front support, the weight of it either breaking the pipe, or stripping out the two cap screws holding it up, pretty cool though 👍

Performance is the goal obviously but when you look that cool gettin there it’s gotta be worth another 2k rpm and 1 full horsetorque. Super cool

Would have been interesting to measure the cylinder head temperature of each set up. Power gains are impressive but if it causes premature or excessive wear on the engine is it it worth it? Other than that...a very cool demonstration.

The UFO is just the perfect amount of saw bling and the fact that it’s actually adding any additional power is huge bonus in my mind!!! That’s a fantastic looking piece of welding skills and I couldn’t get one together that clean without burning up a half dozen flapper wheels!! LMFFAO! I don’t know what exactly they are going to cost but I’m definitely curious!!!! Be the coolest mofo at the wood pile with that piece of saw bling on your rig!!!
