Hi Ire! I really want to command you on the Amazing contents you provide for project management. As a public health data analyst, I am now looking for opportunities to manage projects because in all honestly I do that 65-75% in my daily activities. Listening to your videos, I can see a lot of the things that I already do, and also identify areas where improvements are needed. Very good advice. A useful tool I find is a risk/issues log to determine how to deal with blocks and risks so stakeholders are not given a surprise if a risk becomes an issue that's effected the plan.

Ah, the EoW check-ins just answered one of the questions I asked in the ditl vid. I did a coordination role in the past & what helped me with minutes was to have templates so I dont always start from scratch. Also with chasing individuals, unless the person has a track record of not being one with their word, I would usually keep it informal & friendly, a walk to their desk if I can, a phone call or teams chat, I would try to avoid formal emails & update meetings. Great stuff as always 💞 Thanks for sharing!

I use a notebook on meetings and as a diary. Anything relating time,quality or cost. I write it in cleartext and atleast email verify if both parties have understood it right.

A bound notebook raises the importance and awarenes on agreements. Floppy note is easilly discarted and forgotten under a pile of old documents waiting to be shredded.

If only I had your confidence…. My Sr Manager tried to get me to take a PM role after being with the company 25 yrs and I turned it down, out of fear. Still at the company now (Telecom) and wanting to be a PM but just lack the confidence to speak as freely as you do. I wish you could train me, I’d pay!

Girl you’ve got this! With a lot of these things you just need to take the leap and learn on the go. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes and you will build your confidence. Pm isn’t for everyone, but I do think if you have the knack for communicating and building relationships , the. Confidence with the rest can follow. I don’t do any training unfortunately. But I’m thinking of offering a group mentoring programme sometime in the future once I get my life together 😅 hold tight !

Hi Ire, Thank you so much, i must confessed I subscribed immediately I noticed you've got alot to offer me in this Career transitioning phase of my life but can I ask that under every of your filmed videos, you can please list out your points for urgent references. Sometimes we can get to watch 5 of your videos at a go and lose hold on some informations gotten from you, sometimes time might not be available to repeat same videos we've watched but we can go under the videos and sight the list and that will or can definitely bring back what you have thought us on that. Hi @pitol thanks for these tips your energy and self confidence is key as PM question: I am generation X my speed typing (not blind) is slow which way you recommend me to take the minutes? I think notebook is old fashion most of the IT people now are Gen Y and Z Thanks

Hey. A notepad isn’t old fashioned. I still use that in some meetings. You will need to type them out to send out the notes to everyone though. There’s not really any way of getting around that

I just found your channel yesterday, and when I say that I am happy I did 🥲. I'm not even joking!! I'm getting ready to take some classes next week for telecommunications project management, and your videos have helped me soooooo much. Hey, so it really depends on what kinda project management delivery you want to do (I have a video on this so check it out) but in general, the most popular ones for beginners are, Prince 2, agilePM, apm, capm and the google project management cert.
